Miracle of miracles, I got everything done yesterday and was able to really enjoy my self at the Jubillee presentation. We are still trying to figure out what he should do with his pin-in medal. Somehow it just doesn't look right on a t-shirt. After the presentation we went out to a Greek restaurant. Claire's husband drove so it was a nice relaxing trip.

The woodstove guy came and measured for the hearth and we get it installed on Monday! I was thinking it would be April when we really don't need a woodstove much. It'll be a nice St. Patrick's Day gift.

The Girls are off to the vet this morning for antirabies and weigh-in. I am sure Hershey has porked up and know why. She keeps sneaking Lucy's food as Lucy is a nibbler, not a gobbler. Lately I've been supervising mealtimes which seems to work. A lean dog is a healthy dog, says the vet, but her big brown eyes always say "I'm hungry!"

Still more wallpaper to scrape today but it is getting near the end. I am going to order the paint for pickup tomorrow when I go to town for my perm. Will I ever get this done!

Anyone want to burn their scale with me? I'm exercising, eating right and the darn thing will not move! I feel wonderful, and I feel like I have lost weight, but the darn scale does not reflect it. What's a girl to do, other than burn the scale!!

I think it's a hoot that the doggage are on weigh-in Wednesday with us. Poor girls. At least they don't suffer from a poor body image.

Hey, Taz's title made my day! I don't have much of a life!

I love it when life is normal!!! Seems like that doesn't happen much around this coop, so when it does I really enjoy it.

My Mom seems to be doing okay, she is staying busy. The only thing is that she goes by the cemetery almost daily. I started to say "good thing it'c close by" but maybe if it wasn't close she'd not go by as much.

I had my "pre-op" exam from my PCP yesterday, and since they did an EKG I told ole Alvin I do have a heart. He was not convinced!

Aren't we all going to be cute with our chicken hats, our chicken purses and our yellow cheerleader outfits!!! Will this wedding make the front page of the paper? No Sherry we would not do that to you. I pictured the image in my mind. No thank you.

What a lively coop we have this morning! Taz, that's on my husband's mind 24/7!

Today is an executive meeting this morning (sigh) and I will be late picking M up from daycare knowing how late these things tend to go. The kudos still keep coming in from my speechifying--I am gritting my teeth everytime someone brings it up. I am pretty much in disagreement with about half of what I read and everytime someone mentions it I paste on a smile and say thank-you. The whole situation has given me an ulcer, I swear! Ruth, how ever did you survive the fair board??

On a quasi happier note, this weekend is my mother's 50th birthday "party" (more like cocktails after dinner) and I get to see my brother, SIL, and my nephew. This is also the time they are going to reveal they are pregnant to the rest of the family. As for celebrating my mom's birthday, truth be told, I would have saved my money and stayed home and sent her a card. I know I sound miserable and all, but she is a shyster and has practically ripped off every member of the family including me. The only reason she is getting a gathering is because of my uncle (one of the few she hasn't had a chance to rip off yet) since he would like to see everyone anyway. My brother and I are ashamed of her so we both never would have thought to give her a party. Practically speaking, the same uncle's wife has her own tax service and we need to get our taxes done. So two good reasons to go. Why are parental relationships so difficult??

Anyways, enoughof my melodrama--hope you all have a fine "humping" day!

About your mothers--there is strngth in numbers--you and your brother-SIL and nephew will have a wonderful time, AND show your mom that she can't knock you down!! I am with you on parental relations though-my mom and I have a good relationship--I used to have a great on with my dad too--nowadays though--it's a little troubled......

Debkay--I'm with you in the Scale-burning party--(can we roast weenies over the fire?? ) My shifty scale was not shifting in the right direction today...... my own fault I'm sure!

Hi all,
Checking in from SUNNY Southport NC! The weather is such a wonderful change from the awful winter we have had. I can't tell you how nice it is to have some color back in my face (Running from Ruth and others that are throwing things at me!)

Life is good. The kids are happy and I have been able to get out and swing a golf club. Wow, I am missing spring and hope it returns to the Norht east by the time I get home the end of march.

I have to do some catching up, but did I catch that Sherry is getting Married! If that is the case, a major congradulations to you, and we all would look great as bridesmaids in yellow and hats and pirses to match, so think about it

We are going on a little outting today. Wally world more than likely as I need a new book, and the kids ar hankering for a few crapy toys to play with in the yard.

Deb i am with you on the scale thing. I have been at the gym daily doing 5 miles on that Eliptical trainner and not a pound lost but.....I am feeling much better about being in my shorts and t shirt today (ducking again) and i think I have to keep looking at it that way.

Good afternoon everyone. Computer is not working right and I am at least 5 days behind on posts!
It is March Break here and Jacob went to Mom's last night until Sunday. I am going on a three day trip with some other teachers. We rented a cottage and plan to eat, drink and sleep---no humping as no men allowed!
Any of you Canadian gals ever lived in Calgary? Hubby had a job offer which we are seriously thinking over. The $ is great and we are thinking of going for a year. I have never been there and don't know anyone who has. We would rent an apartment and rent out our house to my SIL until we get back. I am up for the change but our family had lots of reasons why we should stay.

Hello everyone! I'm having the dreaded appointment with the gyno today. I'm ready for some serious face-rearranging here!! Hopefully he will listen while I vent, tears may be necessary to get my point across. June 18 will be here shortly, 365 days of **** is quite enough, don't you all agree?

On a lighter note, I took the whole afternoon off work, dd is at daycare, sis will be with mom, and bf won't be home until 6-ish. Hmmmm, me time! Wonder what trouble I can find to get into? Talk to you all later, let you know what Dr. S says.
