hello, im new here :)

  • Hi there, my name is Jen. I am a 26 year old stay at home mommy and I love it.. except for the weight gaining. My pre pregnancy weight was 165. I was feeling great. I'm an EMT also which I feel help me stay at 165 being that I was doing a lot of lifting and moving around. So as soon as I found out that I was pregnant. My husband made me stop working. I took full advantage of being pregnant and ate pretty much everything lol. My biggest mistake was allowing myself to eat a lot of sunflower seeds. Aka SALT. I soon was diagnosed with pre eclampsia. And delivered a 4lb baby one month early via emergency c-sec. the following day I weighed myself to find that i had gained so much weight during my pregnancy I was 228lbs. I was devastated. So to try and make a long story short. I've tried so many diets without exercising because when ypu have a c section your not allowed to do Any physical activities for 6 weeks. Ive tried exercising after 6 weeks but couldn't do it because I was physically exhausted being up throughout the night. I've tried diet pills. Omgsh i could go on forever. But doing all these things spread out I ended up losing 30lbs and found myself at 198lbs. I then knew I had to keep it up but i lost the motivation. So I searched for a quick diet. I found a diet where you lose 10lbs in one week. No exercise needed. (Just what I needed) I tried the diet. And do you know o lost 9 lbs in one week?! So I tried it again and I have brought myself down to 180lbs which is what I am officially STUCK at! I've lost motivation. I have no support. Everyone in my house eats so much sweets and I'm finding myself eating bad again. So I've joined this site to read and view everyones stories. Helps me out knowing I am not the only one. Now I'm looking to do that week diet again but I am looking for someone or a group of you that would like to join me? I'm telling you when I had the motivation. I did the diet for 2 weeks and i lost 17lbs. Just give me the okay and ill post the diet oh! And my goal weight I would like to be is 140 lol
  • Welcome to the forum!
I just wanted to caution you on fade/ crash diets. They may work short term but there is a good chance that you are doing more harm to your body than good and the weight will come back on as soon as you start eating normally.
  • JEN ~ I have to second what NEMOM says, hon -- if you lose the weight too fast, you often gain it back fast too. That is probably why you are feeling so hungry right now. Try to find something a little more balanced to lose the rest, so you don't gain it all back with interest ...

Btw, congrats on your new baby! How about a nap in the afternoon for an hour to make up for the lost sleep? Then, maybe just take her for a walk every day; that wouldn't be too exhausting and the fresh air would be good for you too.
