Thoughts of giving up!

  • I don't know about most of you, but lately (especially at night) I find myself wanting to give up. I vent to my husband and I must say if its not for his encouragement I would of gave up along time ago. I've decided to do the WW diet and I do good with my points. I mean I don't even touch my allowance points (which I think is good) , but its a HUGE change. I'm not use to eating 5 small meals and the portion size. I get headaches sometimes and become a grouch. Has any of this ever happen to any of you and if yes what are some things that you have done to boost your spirit up?

    Hi,
I am in same boat, pl tell me how much monthly you pay for WW.
  • Jay ~ just rearrange your points so that you can a little bigger dinner and/or a small evening snack -- it's that simple. Take 1 or 2 from breakfast & lunch and/or snacks. I'm doing portions & calorie counting so it is a bit easier, but I have done WW in the past, and I'm sure you can just move them around how you want.
  • Hi Jay! First of all DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!

To my knowledge, WW doesn't dictate that you eat 5 times a day, so eat a big meal at night if you want to! Or if you want to eat 5 times a day, make your snack times "free" food - like fruits or veggies.

I eat 5-7 times a day, but that is my personal preference. I fell like eating so often helps me maintain my energy and sugar levels. But you have to find what works for you and your body! It's a bit of an experiment, but you'll figure out what works best for you and your lifestyle.

Also - it's ok to use your weekly points - that's what they are there for. Try a week using them, and see what happens. Some people lose better when theyuse those points - others don't. Again - figure out your body and what works for you!

Good luck - YOU CAN DO IT!
  • Why give up? You're stronger than that Even if you need to go over your points a bit, keep on keeping on. You'll get there. It's new. Don't freak
  • Whenever I get frustrated or feel my inspiration waning, I usually go onto Youtube and watch some vids from the weight loss community. Not only during people's journeys, but those that are done and were successful. It helps me to see it can be done and the amazing physical changes that occur with hard work.
  • Thank you so much girls, your words are so encouraging. I had a break down yesterday which is when I wrote this, but I keep listening to this voice in my head that tells me its going to be so worth it at the end. Its really difficult for me because for so many years I've been miss treating my body I remember being 14yrs old and eating a whole bag of pizza rolls of 90 counts by myself. That is so unhealthy. I'm glad to have found this site you guys are all so supportive.

As for WW I didn't have to pay anything currently my sister in on in so she has giving me all her stuff and her points book she got lucky and they gave her 2 with out realizing it, but shes paying 39.95 a month. She has lost a lot of weight . She use to weigh 165 now shes at 140.
  • I've lost 65 lbs on WW. And, let me tell you, you do NOT have to deprive yourself of the extra weekly "allowance" points.

I eat every single point allowed and lose at a nice, steady pace.

Exercize is key, though, because it really helps with how you FEEL which helps with motiviation!
