I have also used the fruit juice and carbonated water mix and it does well to replace the need for the sweet and fizz.
Long before I gave the pop up completely, though, I gave up the caffeinated type, so I drank the decaf. Coke (not diet). I think the fact that I had dealt with one addiction/craving (caffeine) first made it easier when I decided that I simply could not be healthy or lose weight if I kept sucking down the Coke.
I no longer crave the cola or any pop. I drink water all the time, all day, every day. I do have a Coke every now and again (maybe once a week, probably less), but it's not a craving that I have to fulfill like I used to (I had a 4 can a day habit at one time).
Best wishes! You will feel better when you're off the pop, but it does take time and diligence.
