I'm not beating myself up tonight <3

  • I've finally accepted it's okay to splurge, thanks to you all. Granted, I didn't eat bad (I'm still under my cal. count), but still. I had a DELICIOUS taco salad. Yum. And I ate all of it. I did not work out today but I'm still happy with myself. So thanks everyone who is so supportive.
  • That is wonderful to hear! Negative self-talk hardly ever leads to anything positive. You deserve to feel good and enjoy a treat every so often!
  • Cool. It isn't supposed to be torture!

Glad you kept it real -- both in calorie budget and emotional budget. WTG!

    A.
  • Good for you. You don't have to suffer with boring food to eat healthy. You can totally manage a healthy diet and enjoy good food, that's the best part!
  • Good for you. Thanks to America's steadily advancing obesity epidemic most restaurants (>99%) offer simple and healthy meals for patrons who are watching their waistlines. Just watch out for some of those restaurant salads, you wouldn't believe how many calories (>1000!) some of them can have. Couple that with a tendency towards excess sodium and you've got a recipe for scale wrecking disaster.

It's good that you are tackling this problem when you are still young. If I had started losing weight at your age I wouldn't have as many pounds to lose. Plus, the younger you are the better it is for your health and for any cosmetic skin issues you may have afterwards.
  • Heck, if you stayed within your calorie count, I wouldn't consider that a splurge, I'd call that another day at the ranch!
