Good morning. I hope everyone has survived the time change. I woke up too darned early and lay there trying to figure out if I was late or early compared to body time. I blew it yesterday and changed the clock in the kitchen back an hour. Duh!

They are predicting 14 days of well above normal temperatures which is so great! I may be able to get out to the garden to plant peas by St. Patrick's Day - a first! The Christmas lights are finally down but the evergreen and holly branches are still frozen in the planters. Maybe today's 55ºF will finally loosen them up. I plan to do them and the Church planters this afternoon.

Off to the gym 7:30 to 9 and then home to pick up Jazz. We are doing a "Going to the Dogs" story programme at the libraries in the township this week and Jazz is the star for three sessions. This afternoon will be all mine to tackle some early spring garden things. (I'm tired up from tomorrow morning until Wednesday afternoon so today is the day to get started.)

Time for a proper breakfast and then off I go. What's happening on your stretch of the sand?

Good morning Ruth! Isn't that forecast exciting?! Even though it has been a very mild winter, it is still getting me all giddy. Yesterday, I cleaned up the garden...my turnips, spinach, and kale all survived the winter (!!), so I freshed up those rows, and replanted the collards and mustard. If they don't survive, that's okay...I had fun!! I may start other stuff inside. Or maybe not...where would I put them the cats wouldn't munch on?!

Grocery shopping, work, then hopefully a trail run/hike. I know it's supposed to rain, but I don't know when. Of course, running in the rain ain't so bad! (until I fall on my face...)

Ruth, Jazz is going to be hard to live with after all the attention he'll be getting at school today. I bet he'll be exhausted when he gets home.

The only difference (besides going back to pitch dark mornings) is that I wasn't the least bit tired at our usual bedtime last night. Other than that, I loved the extra hour of daylight last evening.
What's happening on my agenda today is that I have the morning off since I have to stay until after 8 tonight. But I'm taking the girls out to shop for party decorations and favors for Audrey's birthday party, and we'll probably grab something for supper while we're out.
I made a cabbage crockpot dish that Cyndi gave high raves about for supper last night, and it was absolutely delicious! Thanks, Cyndi, for suggesting the recipe. You'll have to post it in our recipes section.

Good morning, Twynn! Isn't this breath of Spring weather exciting! I was thrilled to discover my patch of rhubarb coming up, but I'm waiting til next weekend to start planting anything. Jake has promised to have the garden all tilled up and ready by then. I think the rain is supposed to hold off until tonight, so enjoy your run!

I know I haven't posted here in awhile. I am thinking of doing SBD again, or at least trying the most lenient phase as good guidelines to live by. Yesterday I picked up the South Beach Wake Up Call from Barnes and Noble and I really find it interesting. I got it for my relative at Christmas. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with the online community of South Beach? I love online forums and I know there is a small fee to pay for it, but I'm wondering if it's worth it.

Ruth, the promise of that warm forecast is wonderful isn't it! Like a month early for us. However it always means putting up with the in-between time, of deep puddles, mud, black snow and scary things emerging that were hidden all winter

I've realized that I have to have a large portion of protein (chicken breast) during the day at work to keep the hunger away. I tried having tuna salad on Sat. and it didn't work, I was overrun by hunger, customers, and frustration and had some very off-program food...I was back on track yesterday.

I got another Annie Mairs exercise dvd, Annie's Cardio Force. Wow! good stuff.

It is going to be very warm here too, highs in the 70s. I like this time change; I felt like I slept until a reasonable hour for a change and managed to keep my eyes open longer at night

My teen was home for one night and day then headed out to visit friends at one of the state schools. Then he drives to another, then to one the next state over. Not sure when we'll see him again but probably Friday when his friends all head this way for their own spring breaks. I was laughing this morning reading his Twitter feed. He doesn't know that DH and I cyberstalk him or he wouldn't say things on their about us!

I'm off to fill out (what I was told will be piles of) paperwork today for the new job. If my clothing discount starts today I'll be shopping too. I have to wear their stuff to work and don't really have any tops that will work.

Sounds like everyone is enjoying mild weather this week. I think I might start tilling the garden to plant the seeds. I don't have a green thumb but thought I would try this year so I can eat more fresh vegetables this summer if it works

Crazy weekend upgrading our internet from DSL to U-verse it broke my home network so I have to work on fixing that so we can print to our printer again, I got frustrated and stop yesterday- I will resume troubleshoot in a few days

Karen sounds like you got a job somewhere- I will need to go back and read some posts to see where you will be working.

Just popping in to say hello. I, too, am enjoying the gorgeous weather... from my cubicle. That's ok though! Tonight after work, we have to run to the bank, and then we're going for a run! YES! I am extremely excited! Also, weighed in today and am down 4 lbs. Thank God for Ph1!

Haha, we haven't changed the time yet in England! One more week for us here! I like the time difference though because it is easier to reach family members/relatives with a 4 hour difference as opposed to 5 :P
Though I do like the extra sunlight, it is very hard to sleep! The sun sets at around 10pm and rises at 3am here during April/May. Very difficult to adjust to that!

Oh my gosh!! that is amazing. Must be hard to stay asleep past 3 am..I do love it, though, when the sun is up at 5 am here in summer.
