Morning Chicks, Coffee is hot and strong, very cold today at -14, it is now 5:35 am. Happy pancake day. I will be working a supper after work for our tops group, with proceeds going to the hall we meet in. I hope I don't eat too much

The flooding has stopped, no, insurances won't cover it. Oh well like a lot of my friends the money will come from some where? Talk about owing??? It seems like the more I work the more I owe. Thus the saying "Hi Ho,Hi Ho it off to work I go, I can't remember the rest,[Its a woman thing].
Well all for now,stay sane, as Spring is on the way. Some sun will make us feel better.
I think I will serve some pie to us today,
It is we all have bills pie, so lets not take any of it , but have some I feel better sauce instead!

Good Morning Taz and all of of those to come!
It is a cold morning and I am counting the days until Spring. The weather network is forecasting more storms in March for us so I guess we cant pack the mittens away yet. I think it was May last year before I did that!
For us it seems that everytime we get some extra $ saved the car breaks down. Last year we were all packed for a vacation to PEI and the oxygen sensor died in the car. $1400.00 later we spent the vacation home fuming!
Dyan I did find a pattern although I think it is a bit ambitious - it is 168 by 280! I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands and have not cross stitched in over a year but I really want to make something special for them. I have done so many wedding samplers for people we dont even see anymore that I really want this to be special. Hubby is making them a buffet and hutch too so if I cant do it I have something to fall back on.
Still no voice and the kids had a great day yesterday. The 4 year olds did all my talking and it was too cute at times. They sounded so much like me.
Off to make the pancakes...way too tempting!

Anyhow, coffee just finished brewing it's hot and strong (dh set it before bed last night because I have to leave so darn early today!!) and I just about have time to have a cup and an Atkins shake before I run out the door...... I need to be in NYC by 9:15 this morning, so I gotta leave by 7:15 (love that traffic!!! - emergency evacuation would NEVER work on Long Island, we'd all get crushed!)

Anyhow, hope you all have a lovely day today -it's supposed to warm up to maybe 40 today???? I sure hope so - I'm tired of freezing my butt off!

I have been just working, working, worked til 6 came home fixed the kids a pizza, got them ready for bed and worked some more from here- ick, it should slow down today I hope.

I ma once again starting the TOM from ****, i have horrid cramps. I told the dr last month that I wanted a hysterectomy, I am 39 and she gave me the look....

So since I bleed so bad that I can barely leave the house 1 day a month she put me on some drug Ponstel, to see if that will help with the excessive bleeding...if that does not work she wants to do UBT(Uterine baloon therapy) anyone heard of it? done it? know anything about it??? I need to do some research.

OK I am done whining. On the flip side it should be sunny and 60 here today, fonally no rain!!!!

I am feeling a bit better untill i found they canceled school for the kids today as sone one had passed from many years ago. so i have them all home driving me crazy and dd want to got to the mall to shop for a dress. ds1 want to go to a friends house, and ds2 is giving me grief about every thing. the house is trashed. No no body knows how to clean the house it just makes me want to dissapear for a few days to see if any thing gets done in the house. I am fed up with this. I am a slave to everybody. and then expected to do everything. I refuse to be led in this way but the stress in trying to get the kids to do anything is too much. it just adds to my already over stressed life.

Can you tell I am overcarbing and living in ****!! not just carb **** but **** itself!!! Sorry about the language but i am very frusterated and ready to throw in the towel for everthing.

Well off to attack the kids and get this house partially cleaned!!!

Pooky I did not want a dog at all. DD and her BF wanted the puppy. (picked out of the shelter) THEY SAID it was going to be their responsibility. YEA like so many things else around here what they take care of is mom does it and they get the glory. NOT but I will not stand for that puppy to be locked in the cage all day while they sleep and get up in time to go to work and leave the dog.!!! She is not being trained like she needs. If she was only a year old already. She would be a good dog. just the right size but right now she is too hyper. She ran into my son yesterday and sprained his finger and he has to swim in a state competition in another week. (not that he is really fast. but he does need to swim.) I do not have the time to deal with ehr and she chews on everything even my cabinets when I am rightn there. the kids can not get dressed (they like to get dressed down stairs as it is warmer) as she takes every piece of clothing and chews it, I can not even get my coat on near her as she grabes at my coat when I am putting it on. So much to my dismay I need to get rid of her. they are not taking any responsibility and DH stuffes her in the cage when he is home as he does not want to clean up after her nor watch her or take her out! So she must go to a home that will care for her appropriatly.

Annett tthe lawn is still frozen I have not even seen the mess in the yard from the dog. I am talking about the one in the house!

Good March Morning! I was up at 5 but have been feeling crappy so loafed around on the bed reading. My meds for my diabetes give me cramps and runs. Sorry! Too much info!

My sympathies to you chicks suffering every month. I shouldn't complain about med side effects. At least I'm through menopause, more or less. I did the HRT thing and sort of breezed through. However, I'm now off the hormones and have hot flashes again! Sheesh!

Kevin returns this afternoon to do baseboards so I will be scraping wallpaper backing again. I also have decided on paint - a pure white or very pale green with an ivy or fern stencilled border or a paper one. Anybody want to come and help finish the room? I may hire a painter as I'm running out of that kind of energy and will be greenhousing soon.

I wish all you working gals could come and join me for a coffee this morning. Tammy, bring the kids! They can play with the doggage while we gossip.

Scooby--we must be talking about the same TOM! I bleed so bad also that I am practically motionless for 1 sometimes 2 days. Cramps aren't THAT bad--but the bleeding is horrendous! I have never heard of the procedure you are talking about--sorry!

Nettie--was it you that told me to call the Dr.? Anyhoo--I did end up calling him yesterday and he assured me that there is a nasty little stomach bug going around, it causes nausea and cramping--DD felt OK last night, he told me to give her Tylenol and dose her up with Pepto if she needed it. Well, Lo' and Behold--today I woke up with stomach pains and just not feeling good--she has passed it on! better me than her!
I was supposed to go to the Firestation with Queenie today...but I was afraid because of this dreaded bug--so i am homebound today--I think I am gonna go lie down!

Ok, all was well this morning until I opened my email when I got home at lunch and lo and behold what do I find? I memo from a rookie board memeber attempting to force his own agenda!! GRRRRR... Thank GOD I am meeting with the rest of the executive tonight to arm ourselves for battle. We are sending off a NOT very nice letter to the management team and the rest of the board stating to them what will and won't be tolerated. We expect backlash, trust me. So right now, I am all wound up like a caged tiger and ready to pounce! I just hope everything goes the way we planned, literally the surviveability and health of the organization depends on it. Sigh....why did I agree to do this again?????!!!!

OK, vent ended....

As for the parent ed course, it was a lot of fun. Got some really helpful tips and hopefully we can incorporate some of them into our family. anything to get Miree to see that the dog isn't her sibling!

Sorry the puppy thing didn't work out Sue, maybe it is for the best since it is soo true that you are one busy person and you can't be expected to do everything. ((HUGS))

Hello everyone. Late getting on today, but my desktop crashed yesterday and after cussing at it all morning, now it tells me it has no modem. funny, it was there yesterday! Anyway, now I've hooked hubby's laptop to the internet and it sucks. I hate using this keyboard.

Ive had a wonderful couple days, was able to regroup, and get some relaxing in. A gf came to visit and all we did was shop it was great. Oh, and since she isnt from a place that sells Krispy Kremes......we had to go and check out the "Hot Donuts" Sign
just to see what it was all about It was so nice to get caught up with each other. I managed to get back OP today
without much trouble.....hopefully I can keep it up.

Hubby had offered to take me out and wine and dine me for my birthday, told me just to pick the place, and he would take me. Well after thinking about it for a few days, I decided I wanted one of the incredibly delicious steaks from the shop down the street from the store. But only if he promised to bbq it for me. He promised, and we had 1 1/2 lb steaks with mushrooms and strawberries with whipcream for dessert instead of b-d cake. The steaks pretty much fell off the bone, they were incredible!!!! Best bd meal I've ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday at the store was almost like christmas.....ppl were coming out of the woodwork, and all shopping in our shop. AND......I finally sold one of my willow/birch twig Chairs. I was so thrilled!!!!

It is like 10:30 pm and I am getting ready to go to bed. I have been racking my brain to figure out something to give up for the 40 days challenge. Caffeine comes to mind--could I do it though? Napping, drinking, and cheating are some other good ones--I'll have to sleep on it!

The bug is over for the night-it did not affect my appetite any, as I was starving all day! Just crampy like pains in my stomach-back and head--weird I know!
My freind called me earlier and said she gives up on Atkins already--she was on it a week and gained 5 pounds--something is wrong with that picture!

Robin--glad to hear your shop was busy! That is a boost that you needed! Hope it keeps up!
