Children's gummy vitamins

  • I know this doesn't go here, but for some reason I'm unable to access any other portion of the forum right now except for this area. Weird, right? You can move it--I just hope I can get to it later lol!

Do kids gummy vitamins offer any kind of nutritional value to adults? I'm 4'9'' and 174lb, I've never taken an adult anything. I haven't taken vitamins in FOREVER and wanted to get started on it. I try to eat healthily, but some days, some situations, it's just not possible. I can live with that, but I also just like having the option of taking a vitamin every day (or every day I remember.) I always think because I'm 4'9'' it doesn't matter, but then I remember my weight and wonder if I just wasted my money.

I bought L'il Critters Gummy Vites (mostly because on the bottle they say peanut free, which is astounding to find, so I jumped on the opportunity). NEXT time, I'll buy the adult version (didn't even know they had one!)

So, should I bother taking these? Are they worth it? I feel bad letting them go to waste, but don't know anyone with kids who I can give them to, either.
  • They have adult gummy vitamins that you can take. I have both children and adult vitamins of the same brand. The only difference between the two was that the adult had 50% more of each vitamin. That was it. However, I did switch to a different brand since the first brand only had like 4 vitamins in it so it was a waste.

Anyways, I finished taking my childrens ones once I realized that the only difference was the percentage of each vitamin.
  • Check the label and compare the info to adult vitamins. Probably you would just take two instead of one.
  • I take them too (it's easier to remember when I give them to my kids) and I take two. It's comparable to adults.
  • I think the problem with children vitamins is too much sugar. So, try to find vitamins without.
  • I know people who take kids chewables because the adult ones give them a tummy ache. They take one in the am and one with dinner. Seems to be ok.
And yeah some have sugar, you might have to read the backs.
