New here & ready to rock!

  • So, a little about me....
    I have been married for 5 years, 2 girls: 1 almost 4 year old and a 15 month old. They are my LIFE!

    I've always been a sports nut and have played them since I was about 3. I started with basketball and played through my first two years in college. Obviously, over the past 8 years oh so things have changed. Marriage, kids, a career..... I had to sacrifice something so it was how I eat and exercising.
    I love food, it's sort of an obsession. I'm completely an emotional eater and I am completely aware of it.... a good time to me is going out and pigging out on a amazing dinner.

    I'm 5'5'' and started out at 180. I'm down to 176. I'm aiming for 2 lbs a week. I'm cutting out all sweets and soda to start, and I know that's why I shot down so quickly. I'm watching my portions and eating a lot of veggies and chicken. I'm doing light walking right now and will begin working out with my elliptical and weights in my basement within the next week.

    I've set a goal of 30lbs to start. If I can get to 150, which I know I can that would be awesome =) I'm shooting for the end of June knowing that the closer I get to 150 the more difficult it's going to be for me to loose. Once I reach that goal, I shoot for more.

    I'm really looking for a place to share my ups and downs and trials and tribulations. I HAVE to stay on this for me! Anyway, looking forward to this journey!

  • Mgreen, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join.
