I am happy to have found a board that's actually active! I have been eating less than 1200 calories a day for 33 days now! I can feel the difference in my clothes and have been waiting to get on the scale. Part of me wants to keep waiting until I am sure it's going to be a huge number and part of me wants to see how I am doing. I have a doctor's appt at the end of March and I am tempted to wait until then...... Anyway, I got up to about 215-ish, which is 65 pounds too much. I have never been heavy and this all crept up over the last few years. Stress eating 100%. And due to relationship problems. I finally cut ties with my ex and now I have no problem eating a diet that will ensure I get back to my old self. I am curious if others like to wait for long periods of time to get on the scale? I can't handle the daily weigh-ins that fluctuate. Well, I am going to read through these boards and hopefully get even more inspired.
Welcome to the forum! I am glad you have joined us.
I am a daily weigher but yes, you do need to be able to handle the flucutations of the scale to do it on a daily basis.
There is no rule about how often to weight yourself. I would guess the majority of people weigh weekly so they can see their progress and stay on track.
Best of luck to you.
Hello, welcome!!
I get on the scale daily, but every day I try not too. Don't know how to stop. Today is one of the bad flucuations. ugh!
congrats on getting started on your physically and mentally healthy life journey
Alexbear, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join!
I've weighed daily, weekly, then not at all. I tend to prefer to weigh in weekly, that way I still have an idea but not the daily fluctuations.
