55lbs down - feeling good about myself today!

  • Well I've gotten to the lowest I've been in ten years. I'm 2lbs into being normal BMI and I'm feeling pretty darned great about myself actually so I thought I'd share some pics.
I don't often post on 3fatchicks, but I do bob on and read threads, and have done a few years, and it keeps me going!

lol well I had a few hurdles along the way!

As you can see from my join date I started trying to lose weight in 2006, after having just had a baby in Sept 2005. I was doing Slimming World at that point....

however then Nov 2006 I got pregnant again, so that kinda put a hold on the whole losing weight thing!

August 2007 my second baby was born, and I tried to lose weight again. I don't know exactly what I was doing, I think a bit of calorie counting but I wasn't really that consistent with it. I got down to around the 170lb marker...

And then January 2009 I got pregnant again.

September 2009 my third baby was born, and I sat around being obese for a few months (my "before" photo was taken October 2009, that's the heaviest non-pregnant weight I've ever been, at 199lbs).

I made it my new years resolution January 2010 to lose weight for good, and from Jan-March 2010 I did the Alternate Day Diet.

Then we got an offer on our house that was on the market, so from March until when we moved house (2nd July 2010) I more or less fell off the bandwagon with the dieting and put a bit of weight back on (though I didn't go back up to 199, but I did put some weight on).

Then we moved house, it was all chaotic, we had the new garage converted into a dining room etc. and I wasn't concentrating on trying to lose weight at all.

In November 2010 I decided enough was enough and that was when my husband and I began calorie counting, and that's what we've been doing ever since, and that's how I've finally managed to get down to normal BMI. I've been taking it slow though, I don't lose weight that quickly, but even slow and steady is better than nothing.

I have some weight loss vlogs on youtube if you are interested www.youtube.com/xenaglamrocker

I started doing them in January 2010 when I began with the Alternate Day Diet. My latest vlog entry was just about two or three weeks ago.
