I live in a country where we measure by kilos, have lived in the UK -stone and everybody here is using pounds so I came up with an ode to the 3 of them.

.When I think about my weight I say I am 17 stones
Just some stones and a few bones
That doesn’t sound an awful lot
Hey, I’m skinnier than I thought
But it’s kilos when I count to lose
43, now that’s a number I can use
95, of you I dare not speak
Not even at the scale to peek
Yet when I finish I will count in pounds
95 - I like the way it sounds
Just think how amazing I can be
Wearing my bikini by the sea!
6 stone it’s time to toss
95 pounds - oh what a loss
43 kilos no longer here
Soon it’ll be time to cheer!
Some words of wisdom must be said
Always, always plan ahead
Love thyself at any weight
Every day a clean slate
Exercise, be fit and strong
I’m warning you - I intend to wear a thong!
