I reached my goal weight of 135-140 around October-ish of last year. I'm 5 ft 3 and 43 y.o. As odd as it seems, I found that it was easier for me to lose weight in my 40's than it was at any other time in my life. I know that goes against conventional wisdom, but that was my experience.
Hello Sum...I am in my forties and I have to fight tooth and nail for every lb. lost...I feel like I"m so close yet so far. I would like to be a nice even 130 but I haven't been able to get to that number in years. I think the secret at this age is to do things to speed up the slowing metabolism, like resistance training. I just want to lose ten lbs at this point but it truly is impossible..so close yet so far!
Have just used the converter to see how much i weigh in pounds.. Am 149 and would like to be at least 20lbs lighter. Losing weight at 46 is harder than a few years ago..but i'm more committed than last time and want to reach my goal of 57 kilos before i'm 50. Will keep checking in on all this great advise to keep me on track.
I now weigh 175. My BMI is 28.2. I started January 6th at 180 pounds. I'm 46 years old and find it is much harder to lose weight than it was in my 20's and 30's. In those days when I worked out, the weight just fell off quickly. Now, not-so-much. It's definitely tougher.
Hi all
bought a scale this week, instead of turning on the WII fit each morning. Am almost down to 68kgs, only .5 to go..wooohooooo. Only 11 more to go till i reach my ideal weight. Am really really really looking forward to a new dress for my neice's wedding in May,,,,and maybe some new cuter lingerie as well !!!!
