I've been dappling in Paleo the past few months and feel amazing, but I think my carbs are a little high. Paleo isn't necessarily low carb if you don't want it to be. Some people eat yams, fruit and squash all day, lose weight, and feel amazing. Some other people do an Atkins-type Paleo and really keep the carbs low, and it really depends on the person's metabolic needs whether they are low carb or not. Paleo is really about understanding that we have a certain biochemistry as humans and how conventionally-raised meats have an inflammation factor because all they eat are carbs (corn, soy, gum wrappers [not joking], etc). Paleo is very science-based and has helped a ton of ailments (MS, PCOS, IBS)... I'd definitely start listening to these podcasts, since they explain the science in lay terms: The Paleo Solution, Latest in Paleo, Underground Wellness, Balanced Bites
