5 pounds lost in 14 days the right way!

  • I'm so excited. Stepped on the scale today after 14 days of eating right and exercising and was rewarded with a 5 pound loss!

I 5'7" and started at 156.8 on 29 December and am now 151.4 on 12 January! I've always googled 'how to lose 10 pounds in a month' but never thought I'd actually be able to do it myself and to be honest wasn't aiming for high numbers, but I'm halfway there already with my 5 pound weight loss in just 2 weeks!

I've been doing small amounts of cardio and just eating healthier more balanced meals with a few strength training workouts scattered throughout.

I'm so excited to see what 30 days will bring! I was really only aiming for 5 pounds in one month, but 5 pounds in 2 weeks is amazing for me!!
  • Great start to the new year! Congratulations!
  • Thanks Jesseka! My new years resolution was to try a healthy approach for 30 days and see what I could achieve. 15 days to go! Thanks for your support.
  • Congratulations and keep going! That is a great accomplishment.
  • Thanks italiannie!!

Very empowering post! Thanks for sharing. I would LOVE to get down to 159 by April 1. That's 2 lbs/week if I stay on track. So glad to hear that others can not only meet, but exceed that goal in a healthy way

Congrats and keep up the great work!!
  • Congratulations!
That's a great accomplishment! I hope that I can weigh myself in another week and be down 5lbs. I'd be thrilled!
  • awesome! i'm starting a 60-day workout period. I've never held up a regular workout schedule in my life..so i'm excited about what's gonna happen!
  • Well I just updated my profile and added a new mini goal thread.... I've managed so far to drop 7.6 pounds and have lost 3 inches from my waist, 1.5 inches from my hips and an inch off my bust! I started this 30 day journey at 157 now I'm 149!! In the 140s and it is so Fab!

I think the zumba classes I added last week have definitely boosted my sweat equity.
