Hello There!!!

  • Hi there! My name is Michelle. I am new here. I guess a history. When I was 29, I was 204 lbs. Miserable. I realize at that point, I needed to make some changes. So I decided to run a 5K for my 30th birthday that was about 7 months away. So I realized I needed to lose some weight first. I had no idea what i was doing. So I went for the obvious: get rid of junk. I lost 22 lbs in the first 2 1/2 months. I then began walking. Then running some. Then lifting weights. At 30 years old, I ran my 1st 5K as a size 8. Before, I was a tight 16. I then kept with it and lost a total of 70 lbs.

    Over the past year, I have gained about 20ish pounds. I realize I need to lose it. I miss how active I was. I miss how alive I felt. I miss, well, me. So i am doing Insanity. I am part of a weight loss challenge with girlfriends. My goal is 25 lbs in 12 weeks.

    And a girl can use all the support she can get, so here I am ))))

  • Shelle, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join!

    To add a signature you have to be a member for 20 days and have over 20 posts.
