hi. I know how u feel! I have 116 lbs to lose. Just believe in yourself and KNOW that you can do this! WE CAN DO THIS!!
If energy is your problem, why not just do about 20 minutes of exercise a day? Alot of studys show that sometimes thats all you need. Also with weight loss it really is 90% diet 10% activity. As long as you stick 100% to your healthy new way of eating the weight will come off. Just have faith and believe that this is your year
Hi Mj!! I also have hypo thyroid and about 120 lbs to lose! are you taking any medication? I take 50mcg of levothyroxin. I know it is hard but if you can push through a 30 minute workout for a week you will feel much more energetic!
I know what you mean by no energy. I have absolutely no energy myself. I bought my treadmill on Friday and have been on it 25 minutes every day since, including Friday. I've also been lifting some light weights. I still don't have much energy, but feeling a tad bit more with the exercise. I started taking a Green Tea Fat Burner today. It's suppose to help rev up your system to not only lose fat, but give you more energy. Hopefully, it will work. I'm eating better than I was, but still not great. Food is my hardest problem being I can't afford all the good stuff and I'm not very creative nor innovative in the kitchen.
MJ, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the Dieting with Obstacles sub-forum for ideas on weightloss while on thyroid meds.
Hi Mj! I know exactly what you mean...My ultimate goal is to lose about 115 pounds, and when I first started, I was soooo tired all the time, had no motivation, nothing! First, I found a lot of it is mental. Once you really believe that you CAN do it (and you can!!) you start to move more, eat differently, and the energy slowly comes. I'm doing a low carb program and a lot of people I see on it have medical conditions that make it difficult to lose weight. But, it's working and giving me (and everyone I talk to) more energy.
I truly wish you all the best. You really can do this!!
