Hello, new member

  • I'm a new member here.

I'm a girl who's not used to being overweight or borderline overweight. At present I'm about 166 pounds and am 5'8''. Earlier this year I was 155 and very fit. I became ill with an ulcer this semester and ballooned 11 pounds, mainly because when I felt like eating, I ate a lot, was unable to exercise, and spent hours of walk around time sleeping.

I just don't feel confident with myself anymore. I finally feel "chubby." My ulcer is forcing me to take out major things from my diet: simple sugars, all sodas, greasy food, sauces, and spicy food. I figure this will be a great time to get in shape. My goal weight is 150 pounds. I haven't been 145 since high school and frankly have more curves now and then 150 pounds is good.

I do ballet five hours a week and am planning to begin running, using a non-runner to marathon book. I'm not so sure about actually running a marathon, but we'll see.
  • Definitely achievable! That really is not much from where you are at and in 2 months with great determination you can lose that weight in no time. Just keep it up. With the help of your new diet needs anyways, it seems it will be helpful for you. Just make sure you have the motivation and you will do great
