  • Got the idea for this on the 30-something board and thought it was an amazing idea. This can be our summer. Lets get our bodies into swimsuit shape by june first. We can do this

    We will own the beaches this summer :P...Anyone up for this challenge?
  • hehe I'm in! Although my goal won't be to get to a specific weight, but rather to get my abs ready! This morning I started doing a 10 minute routine that targets my core specifically and I hope to increase as my core gets stronger.

  • Lucky :P....I need to get to get some of this fat cleared off my stomache before I can even think about work on abs xD...What excerises are you doing?
  • I'm in. I have a 7 week vacation in June and I have to spend about 2 weeks on the beach. I want to look good!

  • I am totally in! I am going to Singapore this summer and need to look my best! And June is a whole 7 months away, so it gives me plenty of time to hit my serious goals!

    Right now I'm starting with planks and side planks. I'm holding the plank for as long as I can (which, right now, is a pitiful 25 seconds) and then doing different types of crunches during my "rests." I alternate between planks, side planks and different types of crunches for 10 minutes without stopping.

    After that 10 minutes I'm starting to break a sweat! It sounds like very little but I need to start somewhere and I think I can spare a 10 minute intensive that focuses on my problem area.

    I've said this in other threads but my upper body strength and lower body strength are great and my arms and legs look fine...and then I have this flabby stomach Some more fat loss might help, but then again it might just come off my hips and boobs and I'd rather not lose those I have absolutely no strength in my core, so I might as well start building that up

    Edit: also, this morning my abs are sore so I guess I'm heading in the right direction? XD
  • This is frightening but perhaps just what I need. I am in and starting at 241.4
    My personal challenge will be to be brave enough to wear a bikini, in public next summer. This is something I have never done before and as it sounds incredibly scary I hope it will motivate me accordingly.
  • This is a great idea! I was thinking about doing something like this just for myself, but doing it in a group setting will definitely keep me more motivated.

  • I'm going to wait for my other challenge to finish so I can use the google spreadsheet challenge. I'm going to challenge myself to get to goal from hopefully 145. I'm 150 now but I would like to be 119 to 130.

  • I'd join (a bikini is certainly a big personal goal!) but June is too far away for me. I like having short goals...when I start looking at the big picture it seems more impossible. Maybe I'll join in April. :P

    One of my biggest fears with weightloss is losing my hourglass shape xDDD...I'm so parnoid that under it, is a banana which is fine...just not what I want xD
