Possibly the best part of the new job is that it's at the Y, so that means I'll finally be able to afford to join (steep staff discounts for the win!)
Up to now, I have only been walking for exercise, since I didn't have access to any other sort of exercise equipment. But now, obviously, I'll be using ellipticals, treadmills, rowers, etc (and joining a Zumba class and doing some yoga, too!) And I've always used my WW Pedometer to calculate the APs I earn during my workouts, but I have no idea how or even IF they work with fitness equipment.
So. DOES the pedometer work when, say, you're working out on an elliptical? Does it calculate the points accurately? Or do you just estimate your number of points based on the length of your workouts and your perceived rate of exertion?
Any help would be appreciated. I can't wait to get started on my new workout program!
