PCOS/Diabetes/Low carb

  • Hi there - I'm new and not sure if I'm posting on the right forum, but here goes.

I've had PCOS for at least 20 years, type 2 diabetes for 9 years (been on metformin since diagnosis) and on a very low carb diet for the past 3 months.

The low carb definitely suits my blood sugar as my need for insulin has dramatically reduced, but my weight loss has all but stopped for the past 6-8 weeks.

I'm at a loss about what else I can do to lose weight (I have about 40kg to lose) - if anyone can give me some advice I'd really appreciate it.

    TIA
  • Are you counting calories?

Low carb for me isn't the be all and end all, I also need to count calories.
  • I would question weather your getting enough calories, maybe get a sample low carb meal plan like from belly fat cure or somewhere and try that to make sure yoiur getting enough but not too many calories, good luck, everyone hits that spot just mix things up a little!
