giving ip a chance!

  • hello everyone! im pretty new to this, im in week 2 day 3 and im very discouraged . last week i lost 4.4 lbs and the scale hasnt moved a bit since last saturday. im not sure how to kick start it but i can feel my body feeling more like it used to before the program. im drinking all my water( with mio)
    eating all my veggies, taking my supplements getting all three packets in . a little fitness here and there. the discouragment is making me want to give up a little. . . i want this so bad , ive tried everything and my body just doesnt want to get rid of this fat!!!!!help please !
  • Well maybe we can motivate each other. I am in second week day four
    First week I lost five pounds twelve inches. This is the least I have ever ate before
    And have never had luck loosing. As of now I have not lost any more.
    I get bored easy and am getting tired and want something good to eat but I Have to keep pushing through. Hoping this works
    I wanted to loose twenty by Christmas
  • Stay at it. Most of us lost a lot the first week or two and then slowed down and then plateaued for a week or so. I developed a three week pattern - 2-3 pounds, 1-2 pounds, no pounds and repeat. This became my normal pattern for several months. Your body will find a pattern as well, in my opinion.

    If you stay on protocol, you will lose weight, it is pretty much impossible to not lose weight on this plan - we just lose it at different rates and it varies from week to week.

    I agree with Kelly. As my coach also says, "It's impossible not to loose on IP." Hang in there be patient with your body. I bet the scale starts moving soon. Also could you be loosing inches and not weight at this point? You might want to go easy on the fitness for the first few weeks. Otherwise up your protein a bit. You don't want your body thinking it's going into starvation mode by pushing it a little too hard at this early stage.

    Stress is the very best method I know to guarantee that you'll hang on to weight, or even gain a little. I hate it when people say "Breathe;" seems so judgmental. BUT, deep breathing is relaxing and can raise metabolism a tiny bit. Go look at yourself in the mirror and smile. Then think of all of us standing right behind you, smiling at you, too. OK?

    Why are you discourage with a 4.4lb loss in one week? that is awesome. I don't know how much you loss your first week but your body is probably adjusting to your losses. Like Linden said Stress will make you hold on to weight if not gain. One thing I would suggest is don't weigh everyday, I know some say it doesn't bother them to do it everyday, but I know if I stepped on the scale and saw it now moving I would be upset. This is why I ONLY weigh with I have my WI's, this way I am surprised at the number on the scale. IF you are following the program, believe in it....it works. That number on the scale might not be moving but you may be losing inches so don't give up. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!....WE ALL go through times like this....BE STRONG and keep your chin up....its a new day...Smile and say I CAN AND WILL DO THIS!!
