Took two drinks. Called my neighbor and gave it away.
Today was my cheat day (I give myself one every two weeks) so I figured why not? Apparently in the past month I've made myself incapable of drinking soda. After those two drinks I felt so physically I'll it was kind of alarming. So back to my water and occasional latte. I'm still sort of shocked since I used to be able to polish off a 20oz in 20 minutes. I wouldn't really call it any sort of victory but I guess it's a good thing? Wonder what else I'll no longer be able to tolerate.
Congratulations on giving it away! That -- and the fact that you couldn't polish it off -- are huge victories!
I know that I get mad at myself when I spend splurge calories on something that I didn't really want. I am looking to upgrade in that department. If you are going to splurge on occasion, maybe you could find something more special? A nice dinner out, perhaps, with a friend?
Someone close to me made a BIG (This thing was gigantic) chocolate cake last Sunday and gave me a piece. After the 1st bite I knew I didn't want it, but I ate it anyway because she spent a lot of time making it.
Everyone else seemed to love it, but lately lots of sweet treats don't do much for me anyway.
I wish I did what you did! Congrats, more than losing weight you're changing your thinking!
That is awesome. It is much easier to stay away from junk food when you dont like it anymore!
I also only drink sodas on occasion now. Way to sweet and makes my stomach feel gross! If I am going to drink my calories, I'd rather spend them on something from Starbucks :-)
