I need motivation

  • I joined WW in February, and have never stuck 100% all the time, to the program i would always have a weekend day that I did not track, and would allow myself whatever I wanted. I had some success so I felt like it was working. I started going to the gym W/ my hubby @ 4 am and with a girl friend in the evenings to belly dancing class 3 times a week. I lost a lot of inches but not so much weight. Now I have grown tired of tracking and that has resulted in me eating whatever not tracking, and ive not been to to the gym or a meeting this week. I started with one off day it turned into the weekend and now I don't know how to start back...
    Help!
I've lost track of myself again.
  • It's always so great at the beginning of any diet with all the motivation. It's hard when it slags. I am at the beginning of my WW journey, but I just finished up a very strict detox plan where I lost 60 lbs. It *is* tough! I think maybe the biggest thing that will help us is tracking. At the moment, since I'm starting this Saturday, I am doing the old Flex Points program, and adding in my head. Probably not the greatest idea! I will definitely keep my tracker with me, once I get one. I will keep it on my iPhone once I get one of those (I'm crossing my fingers that that's in the next month or so). I'm not doing great on the exercise myself. It was so easy when it was nice out and when it was lighter later. I would go for walks with my husband around 8 pm, and that really kept me accountable as far as exercise goes.

Someone on one of these threads suggested Walk it Out on the Wii, and I *so* want to do that, but our Wii is broken. All excuses! I think we know what to do, we just have to make ourselves do it. Once we do it, once we see success, I think it will be easier to continue to do it.

Sorry I'm not much help, but I'm right there with you!
  • I think it comes down to not expecting to feel 'motivated' all the time. Discipline is far more valuable than motivation. Just making yourself do the good things (eat right, exercise) because you have committed to it is going to work much better than expecting to feel really inspired all the time.
