It is supposed to help weight loss by regulating blood sugar. I'm wondering if anyone has taken if and if it actualy helps. It's some kind of plant fiber.
It is a fiber and like all fiber can help slow the absorption of nutrients into your body and therefore lower your blood sugar spikes. Any fiber would have the same effect though so it isn't special. Psyllium husk fiber (eg Metamucil) is also similar.
You can find it in generic form, glucommanan? It is fairly inexpensive at any drug store.
