  • Good morning all. No thread started, so I thought I'd get on it. Not much new to report here. I'm still slowly limping toward goal.

I had a phase 2 day yesterday... man, that's more meat than i can really stomach in a day. Going ph 1 for today. Having a packet for lunch is much more appealing! Strange how my tastes have changed.
  • Good morning. I weighed in this morning and am down 1.8lbs. It's not the best but it could've been worse. I've been *knock on wood* lucky enough to not have any 0 loss weeks or gains so I am super happy about that but of course I was wishing for more. That officially brought my average below the 3lb mark. I would have to lose 4lbs next week in order to get it back up there. I hope to lose at least 2.6 next week because that's how far I am from my 10lbs a month goal and it will also bring me to the next decade! Woosh fairy you are welcome any time this week to help me out with these goals. I also lost another 1.5 inches. My thighs are now smaller than I ever remember. They are 1/2" smaller than my recorded low so it would've been before or in jr high! Love this diet!

Good luck to all of the other Thursday weighers.
  • Good morning! My plan for today is to stay on plan! This is my 12th day and have not slipped- don't plan on starting today! I like the 10pounds a month goal... I may have to steal it. But i'll start next month- i lost 9 pounds in the first week! May be 10 pounds between weeks 2 and 5. That'll work.

    Have a great day everyone!
  • Good morning!! Day 1 went really well for me. I wasn't unbearably hungry (well until right before dinner, but I didn't eat until 8:30 so today that will be different). I also got on the scale this morning (I know probably a no no) but it was down 2lbs. I'm sure most of that is water but it was GREAT motivation!! I can't wait to see where I'm at after a whole week.
  • Good morning everyone.
Itsabouttime: My WI was 1.8 also. I also am trying to keep my 3 pound a week average. Let's hope we both have good WI next week. However, almost 2 pounds is a loss and I am happy to be going down.

MOvington: I am getting ready to move into Phase 2 also..maybe next week. I also like the packets..and will have to adjust to having more meat!

Idealamber and Navymommy: It sounds like you both are doing well on IP as new members. Have a great week.

I have a meeting before work and then an Open House after work. It is going to be a long day! At least I have my lunch salad ready to go, but dinner is going to be very rushed. Maybe 2 hardboiled eggs?

  • I lost 2 lb at weigh in yesterday, not great but I'll take it! I wasn't expecting a big one after an indiscretion last weekend.

I did break the news to my coach that I'm going all alternative in an effort to save $. I asked about continuing to come in for the accountability and help with upcoming phasing. She hadn't been asked the question before, which kind of surprised me. I'm not sure if she's going to ask the office manager about it (in which case I'm sure the answer will be no) or just let me keep coming. We'll see. I'm going back at least one more week to get copies of my paperwork.
  • Congrats on the "early days" victories Ladies!!
I thin k the phase 2 meat thing will be tough for me too. Perhaps I might have to try some legumes etc for protein once in a while. I'm not big on them to begin with but this whole diet is about trying things and changing how we think right?

My Wii had me at 169 this morning!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Finally cracked through the 170 ceiling!!! Aaaand I don't weigh in again until next Tuesday afternoon, perhaps this lower carb gram selection idea of mine just might work after all

Have a fantastic day ladies!! I'm pretty sure I will!!

Please, don't even consider substituting beans for animal/fish protein. They are extremely high in carbohydrates.

...there is that. Curses, foiled again! It was a thought....
  • Thanks so much for your replies yesterday on my rotisserie chicken question... Honestly, this blog is like "calling a friend when you need help" !! It is such a blessing to me. I weighed this morning and realized I am close, so close to another decade.... THRILLING!! I never want to go back.

I have a special event on 9/30, I will be attending a parents weekend for my daughter's sorority and I am going to feel so good to shop for something to wear. The usual dread of attending events because of what to wear has been replaced by excitement. GO IP'ers !!!!!!

    Yeah. But tasty.
  • For those of you going to phase 2 who don't want to give up your packet at lunch, have 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast as 1 protein, then your packet at lunch and your second protein at dinner.
