Thanks for the read, I'm trying to learn more about the glycemic index. It's something I know little about.
The thing I think is most funny about potatoes & white rice is so many people love those foods, including myself. But no one likes to eat potatoes & white rice plain, we have to doctor it up to taste better by adding lots of butter, salt, cheese, etc... When I think about taking away the added things to make them taste better, those foods don't seem so appealing anymore.
I am reading The south Beach Diet by Arthur Agatston. He writes if you eat french fries. It contains carbs and fats. The fats do not allow carbs to increase blood sugar rapidly.
Do you beleive the same?
