Anyone else have more wind?

  • Yes, this is a funny thing to bring up , and I know it is partly because I am eating more fruit and vegetables, but I have so much gas, it is insane. My husband said I am probably also speeding up my metabolism, which is making me fart more. Anyone else experiencing this?
  • I think any increase in fiber foods would do it. I just know I need to plan to use the bathroom more frequently if I eat foods high in fiber.
  • I thought your post was going to be about lung capacity.Lol! Oh yes,more gas. The thing that really does it for me is Fiber One bars (the brownies are ok for me though) I did a Google search a while back, and found over 3,000 articles just on Fiber One bars related to gas!

  • I heard on a talk show, just recently (maybe Dr. Oz), that when we add a lot more fiber like veggies and fruit, our systems may be a little shocked by the sudden change.

    Our systems may take some additional time to get used to metabolizing this new additional intake of fiber. I believe they said your body will eventually adjust.

    I take Beano when I eat out so others don't have to hear the churning orchestra coming from my belly after I've had a healthy meal!
  • lol one week I had an extreme addiction to oranges. I pretty much ate nothing but oranges that whole week about 24... I was tooting up a storm.

    Fiber 1 bars don't make me gassy they do make me poop more...Which is win.
