That's why you may have the opposite experience. I could only lose weight once I was on the pill consistently. I lost all my weight on it. I went on it at 22 and off it at 27 and at the tail end of that I noticed my gains were extra stubborn to get rid of, but that may have had something to do with age? I don't really know. But I do know that going off the pill was a disaster. If you aren't able to lose on it, it may bring about the exact opposite.
I suspect it has something to do with the source of the problem. I am not IR on paper, but my ovaries were a mess off bcp. That was where the trouble was manifesting. I had ovarian drilling, which changed everything. I lost 25lbs in 3 months, acne went away (literally overnight), no more pelvic pain, and I immediately started having perfect 28 day cycles. So that was the source of the issue for me.
