getting movited to exercise

  • Hi all
    I am new to this board I am hoping I Can get a little advise. I used to love to work out all the time but suddenly i just don't want to not sure if it a part of menopause or what I am only 45 so I am thinking maybe it is peri menopause. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

    Is it because you are tired, no time, or does something ache when you exercise?
  • Oh yes, this happens to me often, especially since I suffer from depression that I don't take anything for. For myself, I just push myself to do something. Nothing strenuous, just maybe a walk with music. Once I get going, I find that it feels good and I keep going. It's the push to get started that I need to overcome. When I am really feeling insolent against moving (lol), I just push myself to get out of the apartment to do anything. Anything is always better than nothing, I think.
  • If it's just lack of desire, maybe you need to try soemthing new. If it's fatigue and/or pain, get checked out. I went through a period where I could barely put one foot in front of the other, much less exercise. My Vit D level was in the toilet, and I had to take a prescription level pill for awhile.
