August 30 Day Shred

  • Hey! Just wondering if there are any of you out there who are doing the shred this month? I am on day 3 - and OWWWWW my arms are sore haha!

    I've also been hitting the gym, so I'm doing about an hour of cardio there, some light lifting, and the shred - hopefully going to get some good results!

    Who else is shredding this month?
  • I don't have 30DS, but I'm doing Ripped in 30 right now. Just started level 2 over the weekend! <-- this is how I looked after my workout today!
  • I'm doing 30 Day Shred.
    Today will be Day 41 for me, though.
    I plan to do it every day again this month.

    Haha, I watched some of RI30 on youtube - looks so intense! I feel your pain - yesterday morning I went to a cardio class at the gym, and it KICKED MY BUTT. Then I went on to do my regular gym workout (elliptical + weights) and THEN I remembered I had to shred too! I really don't want to skip days, so I did it and now I'm dyingggg

    But yay! I'm glad there are other shredders - we can keep each other motivated!

  • Day 11 done for me; while on week 2 of RI30 I've been doing the week 2 and then week 1 workouts together. Week 2 is really tough for me because of it's very upper body heavy, and I end up doing a LOT of modifying. Week 1 is more doable and makes up for the relative lack of cardio on week 2. I'm feeling especially driven because I have some dietary splurging to do this weekend (a chocolate-making workshop I got for me and my bf... darn Groupon purchases made prior to trying to get into shape!!) Only live once though!!! =)
  • hey yall. i have been shredding for a week now. so i thought id just pop in here. i doubled up some days to catch up for the month. so today i finished my 9th shred.

    i also write in the august exercise challenge - my goal is to complete 27 shreds before the end of the month.

    i felt like i was ready to move on to the second level (or whatever its called) today, even though i hadnt completed 10 shreds of level one. holy smokes. that woman kicked my A tonite! as it was, i didnt really want to work out, but i thought if i tried the next level it would be fun/interesting.
    my shoulders were burning! i dont think ive ever used those muscles. EVER!

    NCchickie ... just curious if you felt like you saw results after the first 30 days. tuesday are my weighin/measurement day, so after one week i did see some change, im just curious if it will keep up for the rest of the month.
  • I definitely saw changes in the first 30 days and feel like I'm still seeing changes each week. My tone and muscle definition is rapidly improving. And I even catch myself admiring my arms and legs while doing the 30DS.

    Wow congrats! Good job for sticking with it, sounds like it really paid off!

    So...I have gotten a bit behind in the shred... I missed 2 days! I just can't seem to fit it in with my other workouts and work and life! I go to the gym every day, and I always go really hard. When I get home I am beat, and then I want to actually see my family and friends and do work and stuff!

    Any tips? When can I possibly squeeze this in?
  • I'm on day two of level 1. OUCH! I am so sore.
  • I have taken a break from the shred since my ankle has been bothering me. By the end of the month I will be back at it. I think next week I may do it a couple days to ease back into a good workout.
    I'll be starting level2 though! YAY!!

    Celly Don't worry about doing it if you can't. You don't have to do it every day if you don't want to. Do it when you can or keep it as a quick video to do if you have the chance! It seems like you are doing very well in the area of exercise!!

  • First day of Ri30 Week 3!!! Jillian wasn't lying, it does get pretty crazy! I had to do most of the moves on modifier and sometimes at a much slower pace. Might be spending the rest of my 30 days just going back and forth between Levels 2 and 3, but I hope that my body will surprise me and I'll be able to move on to 4.
  • Yay! Splurged on 2 new JM dvds (Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and 6 Week Six Pack) to throw into the mix!
  • I am on Day Five. I don't do it on the weekends though, the kids dominate my work out room during the weekend So TDS is impossible. SO I really have to watch my intake during the weekend.

    The Squats are what get me.. My legs were sore for 3 days the first time.
