Ripped in 30 Challenge

  • I have only 6 more days to complete the 30 day Shred. Yeah! I think that I got pretty got results. Lost 5 pounds. I am sure I would have got better if I would have watched my diet better.

    Now I want to start Ripped in 30 on August 11. Looking for people to join me on my journey. I plan to take measurements and pics before and after to show results (hopefully).
  • I start tomorrow!!!! I'm excited about it, but am wondering how different it is from Jillian's other videos. I also started WW last Saturday, so I'm anxious to see some results.

    How have your first few days been?
  • I started Ripped in 30 today and it was FAR MORE than I had expected. It was an awesome workout, be sure to HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE. by the time i got to the end, i felt like i was going to pass out and got a bit dizzy, so i had to lay down. fully planning on doing it tomorrow again, just maybe later in the day after i have a bunch of water.
  • OMG I had to take 2 breaks the first day and 1 break yesterday. I felt so silly! But I started to feel sick to my stomach.

    I have to say, it really tires me out for being so short. And I'm pretty sore.

    What do you guys think about the 3 set? I think the cardio is easier than I would have thought. Specifically the hopping on one foot.
  • I'm with you - I've done two days of it so far and about to go down to the basement to do day #3. I already have a love/hate relationship with Jillian.

  • Whoops! I'm on Day 20 of Ri30 and weighed myself for the first time since starting -- up 2lbs?!? My boyfriend has been saying how great I look since starting so I'm thinking some of it is muscle weight and some of it reflects how I haven't been restricting my food intake (just trying to drink more water and cut back on unhealthy foods, but not counting calories or anything exact). I had ZERO muscle to start with, and I am definitely a lot stronger than when I started based on my push-ups. I start Level 4 next week, then I'm going to do another 30 days with heavier weights.
  • Started Level 4 today! It's a tough one but fun to do. I think I'll do a week of Banish Fat Boost Metabolism after finishing level 4, then go back and repeat Ri30. I'm also doing Six Week Six Pack in the evenings. I am such a JM groupie.
  • I'm on day 4 of week one of Ripped in 30. I am loving it so far. I used the Shred and No More Trouble Zones for long enough that I was bored with them and desperate for something new.
    I love the intensity of her workout layouts and I find them easy to get up early for.
    I hope she comes out with another one like this in a year or so because I tend to get bored with workouts and need to mix it up a lot.
  • Hey Sylvied, I think she definitely will come out with another 30-day type workout video. During level 4, Jillian says "This is the hardest workout yet... until next year!". Plus you gotta figure she makes a lot of money off of it .
  • Yay!! Thanks for that, GoldenDoodler. Yeah I figure she must be cashing in and I think she's found a winning combination for her full body workouts. I don't get as excited about her specialized ones because then I have to make sure I follow a careful schedule rather than just stumble out of bed and press play.
