I started my journey the middle of June and here it is the beginning of August and I have lost 8 lbs in the span of a month of a half. I seem lose about a pound a week is the way that it is going for me. I calorie count anywhere between 12-1300 calories a day (mainly following the SBD guidelines of lean meat + veggies, with some dairy and good carbs thrown in), though sometimes I struggled to reach 1100 depending on how hungry I am that day. I am running approximately 25 minutes 3 to 4 days a week and also doing the 30 day shred at least once a week (to mix it up) and I do Pilates for 20 to 30 minutes 2 to 3 times a week. I would love to be losing 2 lbs a week, but it doesn't seem to want to happen. I definitely feel healthier, I have dropped a pant size so overall, I am happy. Of course I am impatient and would just like to see it gone quicker. At what rate are you losing? And what is your exercise/weight loss plan?
You are doing fine, your weight is not much. Only ppl who are very fat loose weight fast. The faster you loose, the faster youngain. I am 58 and loosing 1lb/week. So, it also depend on age. You will be there in just 5 months.
I do 30 Day Shred 5 days/week, run either 30 mins or an hour 4 days/week. My calories are similar to yours and I lose 1 lb per week.
I am your height and am around the same weight (after 20lbs weight lose!). After a quicker rate the first few weeks I am now losing 1.5lbs a week.
I have just joined a gym and my aim is to lose another 20lbs at around a pound a week.
I am happy to know that this seems to be the average for ladies our size. I thought I was the weird one, lol. I know I am doing well but being impatient gets the best of me. I have my pre-pregnancy jeans waiting for me in my closet and it motivates me more, knowing the closer I am getting.
I lose at a rate of about 0.5 lbs a week. Woo hoo. lol
I have been losing sooo slowly -- around 1 pound every two weeks. It's so hard to keep going when you're busting your butt at the gym and eating healthy and the scale isn't budging. But, I have been trying not to focus on the # on the scale -- instead, I'm focusing on how my clothes fit and the changes I see in the mirror.
I guess I lose weight fairly quickly. I started running in June of this year and I noticed differences in my body in the first two weeks. It really kept me motivated. I don't necessarily focus on the scale, my mirror and my clothes serve as my guide as well.
I lose weight excruciatingly slowly. It took me three years to lose my first thirty pounds. Then I stalled for over two years. I had to drop my calories to rock bottom levels to start losing again. Since last November I have lost an additional three pounds.
That's three pounds lost in nine months.
My weekly weight loss can be measured in grams.
Banananutmuffin and laurielou you are losing weight fast compared to me.
