Favorite Inspirational Quotes & Affirmations

  • This has probably been done before, but I thought it would be fun start a thread for everyone to post their favorite "go-to" quotes and affirmations that keeps them going when things are tough. I don't know about you, but it helps me to slow down and remind myself of why I want to do this work in the first place. A couple of my favorites:

  • Ok, I have a couple of favorites, some relate more directly to weight loss than others, but these are the ones that help keep me pushing forward:

    As in, don't SIT there. Move up, down, left, right, over, under... whatever. Just keep going and trying to get out of the fog. You def won't make it out if you set up camp and stay laying there.

    No amount of diet solves problems with emotional eating, body image, etc. I had to deal with emotional eating (the root) because no amount of diet (the bandaid) was going to be a permanent fix if I didn't learn to cope with my stress in non-eating ways.

  • "Don't turn a trip into a fall" Heard this on Private Practice in reference to alcoholism. I like to think of it in terms of dieting though, when I "trip" on my plan, I don't need to use that as an excuse to "fall" off the wagon. Cheesy, I know, but it helps me
