South Beach/Weight Watchers Fusion

  • Hi Everyone,

Kinda new here, but have been doing weight watchers for a long time on and off, and have had so much success in the past. Unfortunately, I gained most of the weight back because of my lack of exercise and diet However, a few months ago I got back on the ball. I think my body was getting really used to the points plan that I have been following with weight watchers (I tried points plus and it wasnt for me) so I decided to try phase 1 of the south beach diet and then get back into the weight watchers lifestyle because its really my favorite kind of diet since it is not restrictive.

My question is, today is my last day of phase 1 for the south beach diet (basically no starches like grains, bread, potatoes, etc and no fruit and sugar) and I am wondering how I should start with weight watchers again without gaining weight....maybe just add in a few of those restricted items day by day?

Has anyone else tried this "fusion" of South Beach and Weight Watchers? Im sorry if there are other threads that have already discussed this topic....like I said I am kind of new here, still finding my way around!

    Thanks again!
  • Try eating the foods allowed on SBD Phase 2 (strawberries, granny smith, fiber one, old-fashioned oatmeal, etc.) while staying within your PP plan. I've done that and it got me past a plateau. You'll make progress, but obviously it won't be as fast as Phase 1.
