The Sonoma Diet Cookbook

  • Thought I'd check this out at the library first b4 I decided to buy it..(I've got alot of cook/diet/books) And I am impressed. Not only delicious sounding, but good looking pictures which is a must in a cook book for me.
I was so impressed I ordered it,and it's on it's way. I think there is a later version/edition as well, but this being the original suites me fine. As soon as I try a recipe I'll post it. Anything you want to know,I'll try and contribute....
    Have a healthy,grateful 4th of July chicks!

  • Glad to hear it has nice photographs - that's important to me too. I'm going to order the new edition, I think.
  • Just a quick question for Choices or anyone who has looked at both the Sonoma Diet website and the cookbook - are the recipes the same, or does the website have some additional ones?
  • Hi Pilgrim! I saw in another post you might have answered you own question. LOL!

I was thinking of ordering her cookbook. Her recipes are absolutely wonderful!

My question is: Are the recipes in her cookbook different then the ones in her first edition, Sonoma Diet and her second edition New Sonoma Diet book? I am waiting on the new diet book to arrive, but have really enjoyed her recipes in the or first book.
  • I did end up answering my own question! I believe there are additional recipes in the cookbook that are not in the diet book. I don't know whether the recipes are the same in the first and second editions, though.
  • All additionnal very useful when you dont knwo what to cook hahaha
  • I've heard the recipes are mostly the same in the 2nd edition. I have the hard copy of the first, and the "nook" e-book version of the second. Unfortunately the nook is a terrible way to read books. As far as I can tell, the recipes don't say what wave they are appropriate for, or what sides are appropriate for each recipe and each wave etc.

It's sort of frustrating, and nook books (how stupid does that sound.. wow) are non-refundable.

Anyhow, back to what I was saying... Apparently some recipes are simply re-named etc.

If anyone has the new copy, can you tell me if your recipes tell you what wave they're appropriate for, and what sides are appropriate?

I should call nook customer service, and tell them I'm not satisfied with my "New" Sonoma Cookbook, and I demand to have the hard copy
