    Woo hoo! Thank GOD for a quick recovery from my sodium laden weekend camping! Although tomorrow is my official WI day, I went ahead and updated my ticker today. I'm heading to the beach for an overnight adventure with my oldest DS so I won't be able to WI tomorrow. I'm super happy with my 2.2 loss this week and though it would have been bigger were I able to WI tomorrow...just imagine how much bigger my loss will be next week!! My goal is to lose 10lbs/month so I am definitely on track for that!

    Oh yea, and I do have a piece of good news. My DH and youngest DS are heading back home - a whole week early. Everything's fine, they were just ready to come back. YAY! They should be here by Saturday night...just in time for Father's Day!

    Diana -- LOL! You're still cracking me up with that story. I LOVE IT! And yikes on the sodium gain. That's the good thing about paying attention to sodium though...at least you know the gain isn't fat.

    Angie -- Wow, you've got a quite a schedule going on there! That's one of the cons of summer time...we're always so busy! Good luck staying focused and getting back OP quickly once things settle down.

    Gale -- Oh Gale. I wish I were there to hug you, smack you, and then hug you again. It definitely sounds like it's time to reboot and get back to basics or something. You may also need to detox your house for while so you can detox yourself and get that sugar out of your system. We're here for you! And contrary to what you said....You DO know what to do. You just gotta figure out why you won't do it.

    Ona -- Have a great time doing all the lovely exercising tonight! I completely agree that sometimes you just have to break up with the scale for a few days!

    Coondocks -- Ditto with you. If the scale is bringing you down, it's not worth the trouble. Take a break, reset yourself, then let the scale make amends with you!

  • Up 1 lb, understandbly so.. My best friend came over last night and we indulged in pizza and wine. I did however get in an extra litre of water so I offset some of the sodium already I think.

    Im hoping to get in some more yoga tonight, it didn't bother me yesterday so at least that's something.

    I think i've given up weighing for the month, my body is doing weird things the last week and I don't want to see that number and get discouraged. Logically I know I shouldn't, things happen, but when are we always logical ha ha!

    There is nothing wrong with taking a break from Scale-Stinks-Alot. Keep your eating nice and clean and focus on getting your exercise in and then maybe you and the scale can talk things out at the beginning of next month. I find that it is SO important to focus on how you're feeling rather than that number. It makes things easier.
  • I'm in! May saw me struggling but I got it much more under control by the end, and lost about 3 pounds for the month. I will work hard and continue strengthening my consistency this month, to see the 180's in June.

  • Dang, Jami - When I make a promise to you, apparently I really mean it! Kids are in bed, hubby is at worship practice and all I want to do is eat the mnm's I have in the pantry (my 2 year old's "potty treats".) But, I keep remembering that I promised I wouldn't eat tonight so I'm going to log off the 'puter and watch some useless TV with my big glass of ice water and unwind without food.
  • Okay so, DS and I completely changed our plans today. We ate breakfast, headed out on the freeway, and one hour into our trip to the beach we see it...Six Flags Discovery Kingdom! We both immediately agreed that we should spend the day riding roller coasters and watching Shouka the Killer Whale! What a GREAT day! Now we're back home, a teeny bit sun burned and with achy feet but so happy we did it!

    I also completely forgot and I'm not sure how...BUT...as of this morning I am no longer MORBIDLY OBESE! The Wii told me my BMI was 39.96! Holy crap!
