Gee, I seem to be back on the summer wake-up schedule. Remind me to get over it.

Well, yesterday worked out fine. I got my two morning projects done and took the car in for it's emission check. (We passed!)
Only problem is, they seem to have screwed up my lights - no dash lights and the high beam won't stay on. Grrrrr! So I guess it's back to Canadian Tire again today. The lights worked fine on Sunday night.

Hey, what's with Barbie? I heard there is a new preggy Barbie out now with a baby in her tummy. Does this mean she and Ken did IT or is it another virgin birth? And did she ever get a navel? I was thinking I'could fill in my navel with mortician's wax and look just like Barbie. Can you tell I am in caffeine deficit?

A few whimpers from downstairs so I'll go and start the coffee.

That would mean that Ken now has all his "parts".

Morning all!! Didn't make it in here yesterday, our network card for the cable was fried, didn't get it replaced until late in the day.

Ruth, I think it was Wal-Mart who took the pg doll off the shelves, too many complaints. I think it was Skipper or Midge, could be wrong, that was pg. It came with a little baby in the tummy and everything.

Janice glad to hear things are starting to work out for you and hubby.

Pooky I know how hard it is to think about Rosie. She is such a cute little puppy, I'll bet someone picked her up thinking she was a stray and she is living the life of luxury as we speak. As for getting another dog, that is hard to think about right now. From my experience, after we lost Duchess, when I started watching Animal Planet all the time just to see the dogs, I knew my heart could take another one.

Linda I didn't catch the Larry King interview of Dr. Atkins, but I did hear that he will be on the Today Show, I think the 28th of January. Katie Couric is not a big supporter of low-carb, it could get interesting. Don't throw things at me, but Katie Couric gets on one of my last good nerves. Today is getting together last of stuff for the accountant, a hair cut (finally!!) and reorganizing the Christmas stuff before going back into the attic. I really need to get more storage tubs instead of using these old boxes! Might run to wally world and get those - a quick stop to check out new accent rug to match the new den furniture.

Well, just put the kids on school bus---YES!!! Now I have 2 hours to get something done before little Miss Tori has to be picked up!

Ruth--I hope that preggy Barbie never makes it to the shelves around here-my 4 year old loves Barbies and Babies--it could be a bad mix!! She has these dolls now called Bratt Dolls--let me tell you they are NOT the typical Barbie figure--the boys have six pack abs and the girls are wide hipped and big Let me tell you...I'm in trouble with the 4-year old!

Jiff- I'm sending you the lucky man himself!! I hope he works!!

Pookie--We had a dog pass away about a year ago--my kids still point out where we had her hair cut and my four-year old points out the Vet's office too--I can't belive the lasting impression!! My problem is they do not like any other dog (or cat) so I haven't got them another one yet.

So ladies--what is up with the caffeine?? Will it completely screw me up? I have soooooooo cut down but I do have my morning cup of coffee and at least 1 diet pepsi--tell me I'm not screwing up induction all together!! It is day 3 and I don't think I wanna start over!!

Thanks for the support guys I know I won't be in the market for another dog for at least a year, my inlaws are coming in August for 6 weeks and my house is undergoing a major overhaul. Finally go dh on the carpet about the water issue, he's agreed after we've zeroed out our credit card then we are to buy the very much needed water softener and a new hot wanter tank. I told him straight up his parents aren't coming here with orange water! And you just know that redecoration is in order--our bedroom first, carpet for the guest room and redo the bathroom. Also need to buy a chest freezer for the basement. Lots of money going out but we have 8 months to do it.

Sushi bar was awesome last night, we are takingour inlaws there. True Asian food, not the North American version. Loved every minute

Jenny, I do count my blessings every day, I have most of what I dreamed of and that isn't too darned bad. Just having a little pity party for myself is all

I had the neighbor record the Atkins interview for me last night .
I have to agree with Debbie on the Katie Couric thing, I used to watch that show too, not anymore. Not because of what she said abt Dr A. She is just so full of herself now, Whats up with that anyways?
Anyway's before i can watch the show, I have to go to the auto junk yard to get an oil dip stick. Mine broke off at the handle when i went to check my oil, How strange is that? I checked in the area where i live & no one had one, the guy at the last place said, well you should order one from Ford, it can't cost that much.

Wow so much info to talk about,
First let me tell you, I had the flu-I won't go into detailes as anyone that has had it knows, and anyone that hasn't, cannot relate. Off of work for two days and about eight # lighter. Oh yea, what do you eat LC when you have the flu? Can't imagine bacon and eggs haha, I made myself 2 toast and ginger ale. That was the day after when I could think of food again. But you Know today I had bacon eggs and toast. Oh no~~~~~~~~~

Personally, I always wondered where did Skipper come from??? Really I don't think they should have a praggie Barbie, Why bother little girls with this issue. I would not buy one for my child.

I am still having trouble loading threads but I have lurned I must wait longer. I was not on line for the last couple of days but I am trying to catch up.

Pooky- When the time is right, just remember how much love Rosie gave to you. How happy she made you and that will answer if you want another dog or not. I bet God has a dog of some sort all ready in some shelter waiting for you to be ready for her or him. Remember an older dog at a shelter is all trained and you will know what it is like already.

Well girls it's luchtime--I definitely need some different ideas to eat for breakfast--any ideas?? I have been doing the egg thing--fried one day-omlet yesterday-scrambled today, and today I was starving an hour later--is it because I was to lazy to cook the bacon??
Having egg/bacon/chicken salad thingy today--I can tell you guys that I am doing more cooking on this plan as I can't just drive thru Burger King for a double cheeseburger----yum..... Boy do I miss that!!

I missed all but the last 10 minutes of the Larry King show--I sure hope they have it on again! I also watch the Today show--and 'ol Katie is on my nerves too! I really used to enjoy her...the only reason I still tune in is because I like the camerderie(sp) between the co-host on that show-it is pretty real--Good Morning America just puts me back to sleep!

Well, did the treadmill for 1 mile this morning--yea Me!!

Ruth-Norwalk is at our hospital where I work in the Housekeeping dept. The hospital has been closed to visitors for about ten days now as they didn't want it to spread. It just seem to keep going, patient and staff have been coming down with it. I thought that we wouldn't get it as we have been so lucky so far, now my boss told me today there is three with it in our dept.. The best of it is that I called this morning and told him that I would be in, in the morning, "not", I ate some breakfast and it came right out. I phoned him and told him that I would be taking another day sick. So much for the eating. Back to clear liquids. Jello, broth and ginger ale.

Mis- I loved the little kids stories, at 47 I am all over that, with grandbaby #4 on the way. Enjoy it while you can.

Mamaj- I pray that all that has happened to you, makes you a stronger person. Long story made short, 2 and a half years ago my DH lied to me. Stupid cigarrets. He was smoking and told me he wasn't. I hate lies. I almost walked out of my marrage over that one, but I have to say I found me through it all. I am a freed person because of it. I know that there is nothing that I cannot face and that no matter how bad it is , My God and I will make it. Mind you my DH is a wonderful man, but I don't care how wonderful anyone is, do not lie to me. End of story, we lived happly ever after. And I am a better person because of it, I always thought what a lucky person I am to have Ken, now I say what a lucky person Ken is to have me.

I was Midge, not Barbie who was having the baby. It was a box set with Midge, her hubby/SO and the baby. Hubby/SO wasn't named on the report I saw. I didn't actually see what the fuss was about. How many little girls don't think babies come from the mamas tummy? Some people acted like being pg was somehow shameful? Kids are exposed to the real world every day, they see things very clearly. More than we give them credit for. *stepping off soapbox*

Did I tell you that my washer wasn't broke at all? Turns out the neighbors left water running when they moved out. We live in a quad-lex, so their wall backs up to our wall, hence the squishy laundry room. I borrowed a co-workers wet-dry vac and sucked up 16+ gallons of water. Idiots. Sometimes I think we're (3fc-chickies) the only intelligent life on this planet.
