hello everyone

  • I'm new hear, but sadly, not new to dieting. I have literally lost and gained hundreds of pounds.: My last big loss was 10 years ago. I lost 70lbs and then proceeded to gain that back plus 45 more in about an 8 month period.

I have changed one thing in my pursuit of health this time. In the 25 years I've been married, my husband has never known what I weighed. I have weighed anything from 155 to 317 while married to him. Actually, no one in my personal life has ever known what I weighed because it such a source of shame with me. Anyway, starting this past Monday, my hubby weighed me in. Being total transparent and vulnerable with the person I love most in the world has been a big breakthrough for me. I'm still trying - still in the fight, and ready to stand beside all of you as we work through this together. Again, hello to everyone!
  • Hello! I'm new too

Sounds like your broke down a huge wall, good for you! It sounds like you have a very accepting relationship and that is probably what will keep pushing you forward.
  • Hello!! Having support from the one you are married to or commited too helps with weight loss. Breaking that wall down is a big step so congratulations. Feel free to post more often we always like fresh faces.

  • Hello, and Welcome!!!
  • Welcome
  • Hi! Welcome to the biggest support forum I have ever been on lol Good luck, and I am looking forward to your weight loss posts!!
  • Welcome! I'm happy that you've overcome something like that! We all know how hard it is to "Go it alone" on your weightloss journey.
  • Good for you!!!
I'm just starting my journey again today. I've always been pretty transparent about my weight... it's not like people can't tell, you know, lol? I'm starting at 310 today and going to take this one day at a time. It's wonderful that you are opening up about it... such a relief, in many ways, isn't it? I wish you the best and hope you keep a positive outlook, even on the dark days.
  • Welcome! I'm also new around here, but so far I love it.
  • HI!!
Keep checking in, I really do think it helps

I think you are masisvely brave!!! I would not do that in a million years! I have put on/lost/put on 140 odd punds since I first met my husband - and I'm pretty sure he's noticed... but still, I don't think I'd be brave enough to actually say the numbers...
