IP Sushi lovers

  • Hello all!

I have recently started the Ideal Protein diet. I am finding tons of great recipe ideas however cannot find one for sushi. I am a huge sushi lover and am really missing it. Does anyone have any ideas for a sushi recipe that is compatibale with Phase 1-4 food items!
  • I've heard of some people making the cauliflower rice and using it in sushi rolls, but I haven't done it. Seems pretty simple. Shred cauliflower, steam it a bit and then use it on the nori with fish or whatever else.

I am a huge sushi lover and have switched to sashimi during my time on IP. It certainly isn't the same, but it is still yummy.

    Welcome and good luck!
  • I made one that was absolutely great.
1 can of tuna packed in water
    romaine leaves
    cucumber sticks
    green onions cut length wise
the seeweed sheets cut into match sticks
then mix you wasbi and soya sauce together and pour onto you tuna
put tuna/soya mixture cucumber, green onion and seeweed into the romaine boats and yummm

    another is
crab, soya sauce, wasbi seeweed matchsticks and put onto a slice of cucumber
    also very good
  • I don't make my own sushi but I've been able to eat at restaurants that wrap the sushi in cucumber rather than seaweed and rice and that helped with the craving. Or I just stick with sashimi.
