Advantages

  • I thought it would be fun and inspiring to read what some of you have listed as the advantages of weight loss.

    Here are some of mine:

    - I will enjoy better health.
    - I will have fun shopping (instead of finding it traumatic).
    - I will set a good example for my daughters.
    - I will be more confident about myself.
    - I will look good naked!

    How about you?

    - Healthy life style allows "I am engaged"

    - Healthy life style empowers personal and spiritual growth - "I am being responsible"
  • This is my current list:

    I want my healthy lifestyle to be routine so that I can move on to other projects without fear of losing my healthy habits.
    I want to take great joy in my new lifestyle.
    I want to feel good wearing my new clothes.
    I want the CDC to say I'm normal weight.
    I want to wake up each day hungry and energetic.
    I want to be happy with my weight and my healthy lifestyle on May 12, 2012 (my 50th birthday).


    And here's the one that I used to get the first 65 pounds off:
    Living an extraordinary life is a subversive act.
    I want to get off my blood pressure medication.
    I want to live longer than my parents did.
    I want to make my health span match my life span.
    I want to have more energy.
    I want to accomplish an important and difficult feat.
    I want to keep my knees, hips, and back free of pain.
    I want to look better.
    I want to be able to get on the ground while doing photography--and get back up!
    I want to be able to work in my garden more often and longer.

    - Healthy life style avoids: Alzheimer's, kidney stones (excruciating pain), gall stones (operation), and damage to the liver, kidneys
