  • As I've lost weight, I've gotten more and more interested in clothes and - dare I say it? - fashion. In the past, I was the kind of person who condescendingly shuns fashion and shopping and generally trying to look good, a behavior which I now realize was due to low self-esteem rather than an actual disdain for cute clothes. Anyhow, I've begun a sort of love affair with streetpeeper.com, and I was wondering if anybody else had a few favorite fashion blogs or websites that they'd like to share. What online resources inspire you in your fashion choices?
  • oh, and just in case anyone else is interested, my friend just suggested http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com. I also look at http://www.hel-looks.com quite a bit.
  • I am a hard core hands on shopper so I love TJ Maxx. I take an armload into the dressing room......so much fun!

  • I love fashion too! The more over weight I am, the less I buy new stuff. Right now I am really excited about getting back in my old cute stuff and buying new duds.

    I absolutely love clothes.

I sell new clothes and toys on ebay so I frequent the clothing boards there.

I usually click around and look at what other people are selling.

I am originally from Cali, and am now in Mt. Not exactly fashion central. LOL

I told hubby recently we need to move to New York!

He said,"You just want to move there to shop, don't ya!"

HAHA He knows me all too well.

    Thanks for the links.
  • I'm a sucker for fashion and style blogs, with a strong preference for the ones that use "real" people instead of models.

Some favorites (and some friends' blogs)

    http://allthishappiness.blogspot.com <-- a friend from my hometown
    http://www.parkandcube.com (London/Europe)
    http://stilinberlin.blogspot.com (Berlin)
    http://www.fashionsnap.com/streetsnap (Tokyo)
    http://www.austinstylewatch.com (Austin TX)
  • I have been clicking thru the links and getting a bog kick out of styles.

I LOVE this dress! Not so crazy about the top part, but the bust down is cute!!

    I'll check those out too!
  • I follow so many fashion blogs, I actually plan to start one when i'm near goal. I found a good many through chictopia.com
  • You guys are great! This is going to really feed my shopping addiction! Thank you! :-)
  • Idealperson, I love to just go try things on, too! But I'm only just getting creative with my clothing choices, so I really like checking out what other people are wearing online. I seem to have a harder time pinpointing what exactly I like about certain outfits in real life, probably because I'm more focused on actually interacting with people and because people often move by so quickly.

Jasmine, I really liked that dress you linked from hel-looks, though I also agree with you about the shoulder area. A bit ruffly for me.

Krampus, thanks for all those links! I really liked your friend's blog. In fact, it was my favorite of the sites you listed.

supergirl, be sure to let us know the link of your blog once you get it started!

I found another blog that I really like. The blog authors take pictures of people whose outfits catch their eyes in Austin. http://www.thestyleco-op.com/ ... I know this is kind of silly, but one of my sort of far-out their dreams is to actually be photographed for one of these kinds of blogs. A looooong way to go in the style department before that happens, but a girl can fantasize.

I love this chick b/c she does vintage, retro styling and I am a big fan as some of the trendy stuff doesn't always work for me. Oh if I could only do my hair and makeup as nice as she does hers....
