After doing some internet research, it seems I have a stage 2 medial ligament tear. This is saaaaad news as it requires at least 6 weeks off from running. The good news is that I do own an eliptical and a recumbent bike, so I can do those instead. The bad news is that I hate doing them, LOVE RUNNING and am for sure to have withdrawal spasms if I can't run!
Has anyone (runner or elsewise) ever had this injury? How long did it take you to recover and get back to running? Any tips to speed up healing? Cortisone, steriods, etc.? I need relief...uggghhh...I'm icing it now. Going to take some advil.
