OMG I have a collarbone! NSV

  • Yep, my collarbone and I became reacquainted the other day. I was walking around in a tank top getting ready for work when I glanced in the mirror quickly, and was just like... "what is that???" OMG I have a collarbone!! Ran around the living room celebrating, picked up my cat and spun her around (she was all like "mroooow I don't care put me DOWN!") It was amazing.

I think I was happier about this than being able to fit into size 16 pants again.

  • I LOVE this post, Laneyy! My collarbone's have been missing for sometime and I'm anxious to be reunited with them! Enjoy!
  • OK, I technically don't belong in the 20-something group as I'm -- well -- not in my 20's anymore (haha) but this post stuck out to me. Just like your collar bones I guess!

This was my biggest NSV too so I am doing a little happy dance for you over here! Pretty soon you'll be introducing your collar bones to your hip bones!! Watch out kitty!

CONGRATS on your wonderful NSV! I still sit at my desk with one arm crossed over my chest touching my collar bone. It provides me comfort and reminds me why I am on this journey and keeps me motivated.
  • Okay, I am wicked excited for you. Then I got wicked excited for myself for a moment. I forgot I'm not supposed to compare my journey to anyone else's and I did--I saw 198 on your ticker and I was like, I could be there TOMORROW! So I turned to hubby and asked "Can you see my collarbones?". His response? No, not really. And back to watching TV. Thanks hunny, thanks a lot......

And, I just figured out what NSV means!!
  • Aww, MrsD, I'm sure you'll be there soon enough!
  • Congrats!!! I remember my collar bone moment. For me getting that C bone back was a bigger reward than even getting out of the 200s. Its just that special little thing that only skinny people get to have and when yours finally shows up its like an initiation into a members-only club. Like you're finally getting your wings. Enjoy and soak up the victory!
  • Congratulations! I cant wait to see my collarbones, lol.
  • Congrats! Collarbones are amazing! Whenever I lose weight, I'm always struck by how prominent this odd little pair of bones is. Showing them off more is great motivation to lose!
  • Congratulations that is awesome and a wonderful NSV I'm definitely over here cheering for you!!!
  • Hehe....I remember how exciting the collarbone moment was!!! I remember telling a friend that I loved that I had them again and I kept hitting them with my fingers, like "I actually have collarbones!!!" haha She thought I was nuts
  • Yay congratulations!
  • yay! i don't know what i'd do if my collarbones suddenly appeared. i'd probably assume i had a tumor or something it's been so long since i've seen them

    congrats!
  • OMG! I'm glad Im not the only one whose obessed with seeing my collarbone!! Don't believe I've ever seen mine! only when I hold my breath really strong! I can now see it a little more now. I even put it in my FB status a few months ago and people were laughing at me. I hope to see mine all the way withOUT holding my breath!!
  • Yayyy ! i can't wait to get re-acquainted with mine too! congrats on your hard work !
  • I love this post... I am at the same weight as you...
My aunt is visiting this whole week for Easter and hasn't seen me since I started my journey and the first thing she does is points at my collarbone and goes what is this.. I hadn't realized either that mine were showing.. I am in love with them now!
