I'm just wondering....should vegetables be measured before or after cooking them? I searched the other threads but couldn't find the answer.
A serving of veggies depends on the sort of veggies they are, but generally, leafy stuff tends to cook down, so 1 cup raw is the measurement I go with for lettuces and spinach, etc. Non-leafy veg doesn't really lose any bulk, so I go with 1/2 cup for that as a serving.
For IP, everything should be measured raw.
Thank you! I was going to ask this too!
No problem. It's a good thing too! I can't imagine how much kale I'd have to buy to make 2 cups after it's been sauteed! Hahaha.
How do you measure bulky things like radishes, cauliflower, broccoli?
