Good Morning, Chickies.
Rachel, that Nanny must be worth her weight in gold! Try to keep her even after the kids are grown up.
Taz, I bet you folks are well snowed. We just got a smallish amount here. I did see the Atkins article in Prevention and was going to post it but their website was still December's issue at the time. I guess LC has really made it when Prevention approves!
Mamaj, ROFLOLPIMP over the thought of your man in tight underwear. Better get at Mount Laundry before he passes out!
L144S, NH must have been great and the May wedding will be a blast. I hope your bathroom issue gets resolved fast with no $$.
Our power went out last night so we went to bed by candlelight.
How romantic! However, today we buy new batteries for the big flashlights! The timers will all need to be reset - the "tree" in the meadow is still blazing away. (We have a pergola at the well and it looks like a tree with lights draped around it.)
Hey, you tree taker downers! Christmas lasts until January 6th! Of couse, if you put your tree up December 1st, you must be sick of it by now. (Actually we may take ours down right after NY - don't tell anyone.)
We are really loafing around this week and I love it. Simple meals are in order after the holiday extravaganza - stir fry shrimp and veggies last night. I won't say that I was completely OP over the holiday but darn close. This is the first Christmas my weight has not gone up the usual 6-8 pounds. I am doing the happy dance.
Tonight we are going to friend Claire's place for dinner. She and her husband are the greatest people! I keep looking for a flaw but the only thing I can find is that she smokes - outside the house! Her husband is a real gentleman - he and Harry are good friends and I'm hoping some of it rubs off!
Harry and Lucy are waiting for me to make western omelets for breakfast so I'd better go make like a Mommy. He did make the coffee while Lucy and I cuddled on the bed so I owe him.
I hope everyone has a good day and that the Christmas candle keeps burning brightly for you.
