Turbo fire/Chalean extreme hybrid?

  • I am contemplating buying both of these programs and working the hybrid. I need results for health reasons and wouldn't mind looking half bad at the beach in June.

How are these videos for people with moderate tolerance? Is there good adaptations? Time committments?
  • Chalean extrme is weight training. You need hand weights (at least 3 sets in different weights) or resistance bands. Its set up into 3 different months, burn (lower weights), push (high weights to push yourself), and lean. With interval training days, and cardio.. (IMO the cardio is hard at times).
Turbo fire is INTENSE... you really can't half do it. Turbo fire is also 6 days a week. ranging from 30-60 mins a day.

if you want something for moderate tolerance, and you're just beginning. Perhaps try Turbo Jam. Its by the same lady, and its very similar to turbo fire, but less LESS intense - its a very good stepping stone if that's where you plan on going.
  • Thanks!

I joined ww two days after you...how are you doing.

I researched A LOT last night and found a great rotation using the biggest loser workouts and then one using Jillian Michaels + biggest loser to follow. Each is six days per week and uses a different DVD every day which is great for me because I have a short attention span. I am gonna try those two for eight weeks (4 weeks plus 4 weeks) and then decide what to do from there.

I lost 2.6lbs my first week.

I think after I have completed that set I will consider chalean and turbo jam rather than trubo fire but we will see!
  • i lost 4.4lbs in my first week @ ww. .4 second week. i THINK i've lost 1lb 1/2 right now... dont know til wednesday. There is a WW thread, where you can ask a bunch of questions. Under diet central. There are quite a few regulars there.

I do the turbo fire. Just finished my first week. And it is intense. You really can't not try. So start off slow (always)
