Hello, My name is Chelle and I'm a fat chick

  • Hi, I'm new (duh) and am looking for support.

My weight history is this: in high school I was of "average" weight, though I was unhappy with my body. At 5'4" I weighed about 130lbs. Throughout four years of college, I gained 80lbs. and graduated at 210 lbs. About a month after I got married (go figure that one out!) I got tired of being fat and got up off my butt and joined a gym. I figured if my friend could do it; I could too. Through consistent workouts, food journaling and calorie control I lost 70lbs and weighed in at a fairly svelte 140lbs. I was happier, but still not happy. Then, something happened and I slipped. Today I weigh 170lbs and I'm torqued off!!

I need help getting back on track and getting at least 30lbs off, prefereably 40.

However, this time I do not have a gym membership. I own a BowFlex and a handful of workout videos. And I do not want to journal. I do not want to journal every day for the rest of my life and I figure the best way to not do that is to not be dependent upon it.

    Can I join?
  • HI Chelle77,

I too have never been happy with my bod. I'm 5'3" and 167 pounds, I just joined WW and I feel more determined to lose this time than before because I have decide to give myself weight loss as my birthday present this year. I have alos decided tht if I do not like the thin me as much as i like cheeses i can easily go back to the old me but since I've wanted to be 135 pounds for so long I will do it and see how it feels. I tell you this becuase many of us are stuggling and this is the place for you. Feel happy thta you are trying and have support here. I will be happy to go thorugh your good / bad times with you!

Good luck, talk to you soon!
    Smiles,
    Sarah
  • Thanks for the response sparkles ..

Body image is such a hard thing ..
  • Hi Ladies,

I have finally registered here, however, I have been visiting for a long time. I am 5'3'' and 165 pounds. I need motivation!!! Last year I got down to 155 lbs, then I had gall bladder surgery. Sometimes I wish I didn't have it removed.

I thought by registering, I would avoid the new year's resolution by making an early commitment. I am tired of having that as a resolution!

I am on WW at home, however, I am not very consistent. Any suggestions? I am leaving in a few minutes to visit my in-laws. My mother in law is the best cook and always has a feast at every meal.
May the force be with us girls!
