Anyone on the 2 meal plan?

  • During my consult today one of the consultants asked if I would like to switch to the 2 meal plan, gave a brief description and then said we could discuss it more on Friday if I was interested. Is anyone on this plan? Do you like it?

I think it might work well for me, I work late into the night and frequently end up kind of squishing lunch and dinner together so that I can have dinner with my family.

What food groups do you get with each meal and how many HNS? Also, how has your weight loss been on this plan - slower like Metabalance or similar to Meta-Slim? Just curious.

    Thanks,
    Mariah
  • I hope someone answers this :-)

    Is this called Meta Quick?

What description did the counselor give you? Why did she suggest this? To jump-start/speed loss?
  • It is called "the 2 meal plan" The consultant said that I would eat 2 meals a day isntead of three with 4 HNS. Breakfast is required and then I would eat either lunch or dinner.

It was suggested because I work from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. and sleep until about 10:30 a.m. so I am eating breakfast about the same time my family eats lunch and then I'm trying to "cram in" a lunch and snack before dinner so that I can have dinner with my family around 6:30 p.m.

If think this plan could work really well for me because I could have breakfast and fix the kids lunch at the same time, have an HSN in the afternoon, eat dinner with the family and another HNS while working so that I never have more than 5 hours between eating, but I am wondering if the protein and veggies poritions are increased since they are only being eaten twice a day or if this is just less food?

I will find out more on Friday.

  • The 2-meal plan is great for smooshed schedules. I use it on occasion. Its pretty much the same as the Meta-slim Green/Beige menus. It basically just switches the fruit and veggies you would normally have at lunch to breakfast, and for lunch you have an HNS instead of a meal. You can have a nutra bar in place of your protein/starch/fruit for meal #1 or in place of your protein/starch at dinner 3 x's a week. I liked having the veggies and fruit at breakfast, great for omelets and I feel full longer having all that food at once. I'm gonna try to scan in a copy of the menu, but I have found it to be very helpful on the days I work the gravy shift, otherwise I feel like I'm ALWAYS eating! Hope this helps! Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions! I'm a program Active Veteran!

  • emilyszynaka - Thanks for the info. I think this would really work well for me and will give it a try.

  • momoffour, I just started the two meal plan Monday. I really like it. I'm a teacher, so there's not much time for lunch. It takes less time in the mornings fixing lunch. I go tomorrow for my first WI since starting this plan. Hope to see results!!!!
  • Guess what? I just got the two meal plan today (pink). I don't like feeling forced to eat three meals a day and I like to use bars when I can as well. I will be starting on the two meal plan when I go grocery shopping again next week.

Minimum 4 HNS - which is fine, because I do about 5 a day anyway. But you do have have to have a veggie at breakfast. I will just eat lettuce.

I lost 3 pounds in my weigh in today and I am very encouraged :-)
  • I received the 2-Meal Plus plan today (6 oz protein instead of 4 oz). I think it will work well for me. I am excited about veggies with my eggs and I love sauted mushrooms, peppers, apsparagus, etc. I did pick up a box of fiber drinks, as I will probably be hungry, at least while my body adjusts to the change.

  • I go onto the Two Meal Plan when I hit a plateau of a couple weeks. Usually 3 - 4 days on the Two Meal Plan jump starts a weight loss. I have not been on it longer than 4 days though.

    Good luck!

That's interesting, the consulant at my center insisted that if I went on this plan I had to stay on it for a minimum of a week.

that is interesting because I got the impression that I could stay on it for the duration???? I'll ask at the next weigh-in.

I think you can stay on it for the duration and that is my plan but I was told that I had to stay on it for at least a week (i.e. I could not try it for a couple of days and then switch back if I did not like it).

My consultant told me yesterday that you were supposed to stay on it all the time--they don't want you switching back and forth. I don't see the issue though and I'm going to try it.

My husband works nights a lot, so we are late risers. We had breakfast/lunch at 2pm today. I never want much to eat after dinner, so two meals works for me. Breakfast is a LOT of food to eat, but since I hadn't eaten since 6 yesterday, I was hungry :-)
