Thanks for the heads up! The store was pretty picked over, but I was able to find a Leslie Sansone DVD and a Eat Clean book. I had no idea that Borders had filed for bankruptcy. I have to admit I'm not too sad. We have an awesome local bookstore in Santa Cruz, and I was worried when Borders moved in a few years ago, it might have knocked them out. I don't know ubergirl. I'm a writer and it's a bummer but I wouldn't say it's bad for me. I think the general economy is bad which means that publishers are more nervous about buying books and thus agents are taking on fewer clients. Although trends with ebooks show a segment of the population reading more than they ever had before (although publishers haven't figured out what that means to writers). Yeah, it's sad to see a bookstore close.
